Not good. A certain white female kitten we wanted could not be available to us because she "was so small" and could only be adopted as a pair. We think that is ridiculous.

Much better donation than to Goodwill. People happy to accept goods while Goodwill seem like it was intrusive to deliver goods. I even had one center wanted me to do the unloading.

Such a beautiful facility with great staff and volunteers. We volunteer as 'socializers' and help specific cats to adjust to their environment and trust people in hopes of being adopted. Love FurKids and whare t they're doing for the rescue animal community. This location has 6 cat rooms upstairs and younger kitten rooms downstairs. Reach out and participate in an orientation if you want to volunteer. It's very rewarding. My teen daughter and I both volunteer.

Excellent animal shelter.

No they will not take in a cat you have found. They say no and good luck.
Yes they do. You need to call and see if they have room though
I have three cats
Did you send the email to fur kids? Another organization is called half the way home. They are a rescue group out of Woodstock. Try both for kids and half the way home. If you don't hear from her kids go ahead and email them again you can look their site up on Facebook. Best of luck with your sweetie ❤
I Have A 3 Week Old Kitten
Furkids does accept surrenders, but you have to call them, and they have many requests like this, so it may take a minute for them to get back to you. If you absolutely must surrender your cat, please hold on to her until you can find her a home at a no kill shelter, or find a friend or family member that will provide a good home. I am sure there is someone out there that would love a cat and has no other animals! Under no circumstances should you abandon your cat or give her to a kill shelter like animal control- they are overcrowded and it is likely that animal control will just put her down. Please hold out for a new home for her.
Yes call your local animal shelters or drop the cat off
I'm looking for my female cat.She is 4 yrs old and I was out of state when a so called friend of the family took her from the house and later admitted to throwing her out of the car in Lakewood. Her name is Angel and she is a house cat but very peculiar abt being picked up even by me...
Put flyers at vet offices, notify your animal control. Also make sure your info is correct at the chip company and tell them they can give your phone number to any inquiries.
You get 2 kittens for $125, under 6 months includes all shots spay/neuter. We got two, they are sisters. We love them. Please get 2 kittens. Cats are not solitary they need companion.
I have a cat with Corona virus and can't keep him do yall take sonoats
If they can't, call CatRangers in Buford and ask them.
Call and ask. If they have room, they might accept them. But a donation from you would probably be involved.
Hi, I think so. You should stop by the Furkids headquarters and ask. They are a great organization.
I can't speak for them directly but I've never known them not to help. Hope it works out. Please don't give up on the little ones. Somehow this will work out.
Call then first and ask them what to do :) best of luck !
Not sure. I would call them
Go online and search cat trapping.trap king might be able to help .lifeline can lend you a trap
I agree with Lisa Tyler. LifeLine goes out of their way to help. Check online for makeshift shelters to help keep them warm. You are so sweet to care about these babies.
You need to call the shelter. They take in cats yes. But you need to know the availability for cats. Great shelter. Just call and ask.
You can call a local rescue group to bring out traps.
Not sure but you can check with them. I believe you can donate and claim it in taxes.
Have you seen how crowded their shelter is? Do you know how bad the problem is worldwide? This is the largest no kill shelter on the state.
Its hard for young animals to adjust to new surroundings and it does take time, patience and love to get them to trust you... Especially if the animal is a rescue. But if its just too much and you sont want to invest in the pet, send furkids an email, i'm sure they can help.
Yes but they have to have adult supervision. They will give you some training you have to do and then you can come volunteer
They have a dog shelter in Alpharetta
I think it's a cat shelter
I cant call, voice recordings. I dont want to spend an hour in traffic and then they say ok we got it. Seems like kind of a strange system to not confirm they have your app. If you have to go down there anyway why have an online app. Oh well. Guess I'll take off work to find out if they have it
I think what they are looking for is your interest, they really are happy if you choose one, or come back later and choose one. Once you're approved they feel comfortable adopting to you, so if you choose a Kittie now or within I think 6 months you're good to go. Yeah, they do not want you choosing on looks alone, they want to see you and the Kittie will be happy together
Paws of Atlanta and Lifeline animal, Atlanta Humane Society, also google animal shelters as well, i pray you find a place for your pet. Adopt a pet website
Yeah, they are more of a rescue shelter. Sweet people, but they've got their hands full with kitties they have. You can feel more comfy if you can find someone directly and know little buddie is taken care of directly.
They are extremely busy. You could try their website but in my experience they do respond to messages.
Every time I visited I didn't have an appointment set up and they allowed me to see the cats
Try a different container or bowl. Dirty water can cause infections and even parasites in this cat.
Look up @the_original_trapking on Instagram he may be able to provide you some guidance on what to do also.
This is their cat shelter but you should check if the furkids dog shelter in Alpharetta has any at the moment. If not look at all of the other local shelters and rescues
Hi, if you have the internet access necessary to ask this question, could the information you seen not also be available? I do love firkids and recommend.
There are other shelters closer to Douglasville. Carroll county animal shelter. But if you're not asking that I guess I don't understand what you are asking. Sorry! Hope it helps
4 of the 6 have been fixed. Will they take them all if I can retrieve the 2 that haven't been fixed and get that done? Any other places that I can contact? Desperate. Home has to be sold and they have nowhere to go
Yes. Absolutely horrible
This is a cat shelter but I don't think either one of the furkids shelters do breeds. They do rescues, rehabs, and adoptions. If you're looking for a Yorkie you might try a Yorkie rescue group
This location is a cats only shelter but they do have another location that's a no kill dog shelter in Alpharetta if you want to check with them
Agreed. The only one I know of that will is animal control.
Yes..my daughter does it for her school
Hi! Please check with Lifelineanimal. org, they are a great group. They can help you find local Trap Neuter release groups in atlanta to work with and have a spaying/neutering program.
you need to either send an email go to their Facebook page and send a message or call and leave a message on the phone only way you're going to get a response
Dog Rescue is located at : 1520 Union Hill Road :: Alpharetta, GA 30005
They will often do adoptions for low or no charge. If you follow them on Facebook they post about no charge weekends there.
Yes
Life line animal clinic in Avondale estates
This is a cats only shelter but if you check with local Petcos they might. I know for sure that the Snellville Petco lets people surrender their pets to them
You'll need to contact the shelter directly. These questions are answered by community members and often not monitored by staff.
I am actually looking for 2 or three barn cats. Are the kittens friendly or will they need outdoor care?
You need to call them directly. They are open until 5pm during the week.
This location is just cats. There is an Alpharetta location that takes dogs but I don't think they take rabbits.
Qgree, call the shelter
You need to call first to make sure that we have space.
The dog shelter is in Alpharetta. You need to contact them first and explain the situation.
You should call. I dont think they monitor this page.
Might be best to give them a call and ask. Unsure if they monitor this since its not their actual website.
Call animal control.
You will need to contact the shelter directly.
I dont know if this is monitored by the staff. Give them a call. Im sure they'd let you. Im so sorry for your loss. 😪
Furkids is an animal rescue so you adopt from them. This location does cats, but they may be able to point you in the direction of a rescue for rabbits which I'm betting does spay/neuter
Im not sure, i dont work there, i took some stray kittens there, it's a non kill shelter
Pick up cats
Give her to me!
From my experience with Furkids, if you have exhausted all other options, it is an awesome place. I have adopted 2 cats from them with no hassles. The staff is super friendly and would be able to assist you with your needs.
