This place and the vets and people who work there are amazing. My sweet pup needed surgery and they did it at a great cost. Wont take my fur babies anywhere else!

Friendly staff.. get you in and out with you pets

Everyone there is incredible. They really love the animals and make sure they find the right home. My little man is doing great and I couldn't be happier.

Yes! If you go to their website, you'll also find a volunteer portal. You can sign up, and, once approved, you just pick a day for "cat socializing" and put yourself on the schedule. It looks intimidating because they're like 2 hour blocks of time, but you don't have to get there right on time or stay the entire time. The cats in there also love getting brushed :)
I believe they do,but its best you call them first...
Yes I think they do they have low cost vaccinations and vet services, check their website.
Any kind as long as not open
Volunteer YES but only if your parent or guardian stays with you....you would have to have parents permission to adopt.
Kidal is an excellent place to live and live in Kidal
Depends on the situation? But If you are under 18 and in your parents home, I would suggest you all go together...its a great bonding experience as a family
Baby formula? I don't think so...but the food pantry does
Yes it is a NO KILL shelter. You have to make a appointment to turn in animals. Unfortunately they get to many animals
Yes they do offer Euthanasia BUT you will not get the remains if you choose to.. you would have to go to your Vets for that.. But Allina all I am extremely satisfied with the Humane Society!! I have 3 furbabies and by going to them I literally save 2 thirds the cost!
Might be best to call or stop by monday when they're open.
depends on age of animal. they break down price on their site. we adopted 2 pups and I want to say it was 650 for both but they have covered shots, spay/neuter, some meds... loved our experience but live over an hour away so a pain but still glad we got through them. also gave a bunch of free food and coupons for other things.
We are currently seeking puppy and kitten fosters. Foster applications and information can be found on our website www.forsythpets.org
Call the office to ask
forsythpets.org
You have to contact them and they will give you the proper instructions...
Yes
The Forsyth Humane Society is a no-kill shelter they will take them..most other are not no-kill and I cannot stand to think of any animal having a time stamp for adoption or .... Good luck
Walk in. Hours are 12-5, closed on Mondays. If you go to there website, you can see all the kittens that available.
I'd say call Animal Control to file a complaint.
Their website States the age but I believe it's 18
I got medicine for my cats that I adopted there with no percritpion :) if it's been a while since they've seen your animal you may have to bring them in for a visit again
You can call their phone number they usually always have a lot of kittens
It does not, no.
No
You need to go to their website and apply to be a volunteer. Once they approve you, you can sign up on the schedule to help at the shelter and at events!
No, I'm afraid not. PetSmart will sometimes adopt, rescue, fish, reptiles and resell at a reduced price but it's rare.
I know for sure that they accept old sheets/towels/blankets/pillows. They prefer stainless steel (not plastic) bowls due to bacteria build up on plastic. I'm sure they'd take unopened flea meds. And would probably take the dog beds too.
It's a humane society, not a corporation fueled by puppy mills. They're going to charge you around $80 for a puppy to cover the cost that puppy has costed them. Petsmart & petco are also a good options for adoption. Neither are interested in making a lot of profits because they get animals from shelters and humane societies.
Not sure but call them - they always need help!
Yes! They have a portal for volunteers on their website as well; apply, and they will take a day or two to approve you. I agree about calling first to see about them signing off on it being community service, but once you are approved you can just place yourself on the volunteer schedule.
For mixed breeds: Under 1 year is $200 Over 1 year is $100 We were charged $300 for a 2 yr old shih Tzu. They decide based on their assessment of in-demand animals.
Walk ins are fine. They are closed on Monday I think
If under 18 you have to have a gaurgian with you
Yes they will neuter or spay animals for a fee around 70 dollars
Humane Society of Forsyth County s not the pound. Animal Contol is off GA 400, Humane Society is on Keith Bridge Rd.
From their website: The Humane Society of Forsyth County cannot legally admit stray/lost pets directly into our facility. Per Georgia State Law, stray/lost pets must be taken to the animal control facility that provides for such service in the jurisdiction in which the animal was found. There are legally mandated stray hold times. Some animal control agencies may allow the finder to hold the animal for the mandated time, but the finder must file a found pet report and make a good faith effort to reunite the pet that they have found with its legal owner. Owners who have lost a pet need a central location to find them, and the best location is their local municipal animal control facility. Please contact your local Animal Control Agency for information on their acceptance policies for stray animals.
You likely should be at least over 16 if you don't have another person with you. But the workers at the shelter are very kind; they may just walk through the shelter with you. Keep in mind many of their puppies are in "quarantine", so to speak, because since they're so young it is important to keep them healthy. So if you can see them, make sure to wash your hands!
Yes, cats are available almost all of the time. I think I have posted a picture of the front desk... In the background you can see the cats in a viewing/play room
