i was there for a day and didn’t even make it through the night I went home and decided to detox at Hartford hospital. The staff is nice but they completely take away your individuality and aren’t able to accommodate anything for your special or unique needs. It felt like jail. they don’t allow you to have any personal items for comfort with I think is cruel because going through this is hard enough why make it harder. I’m a performer a model a dancer I play instruments I read tarot cards and I couldn’t have a single thing that was important to my identity to make me feel some sort of comfort or feel at home. They wipe you of everything. i don’t think they understand every person is different. someone who has such a bright and colorful life and to not be able to do any of my creative art forms was inhumane. everyone is different and I could have stayed had I been able to keep some spiritual items with me or bring a guitar just to have a peaceful mind. i understand they’re trying to help people but they have to understand everyone is different and you can’t give everyone the same cookie cutter treatment you give everyone else. I wasn’t even allowed to use a makeup wipe to wipe my face off before bed or use my comb that I brought specifically for my curly hair. please understand people would be more compliant if they were a little more lenient and if they were treated like a human and not a prisoner or just a number. Even an inmate is allowed to get things they need in commonsary. life is hard enough please don’t make it harder.

My son has been there for almost three weeks. He is doing wonderful. He said the staff are very supportive and helpful. He (and his dad and I) have hope in the future for the first time in a long time. Thank you from the depths of this mother's heart!

Totally unacceptable. Firstly was not told the patient had to have a BAC level under .299. It wasn’t so they said he had to go to the hospital. An ambulance took him but they said they would get a cab to bring him back. Hhhmm. The cab took 1 1/2 hours to arrive at the hospital and then the driver freely admitted he was a drug user and happily drove the cab to a liquor store!!!!! Of course after drinking a pint of vodka on their cab ride his BAC level was back over the limit and again he couldn’t be admitted. (Also I was called at this point and assured he was locked inside). Another ambulance to another hospital who kept him overnight and then told him in the morning they needed the bed. They then proceeded to get him a cab which took him home!!! He is a chronic alcoholic who has almost died previously. This could have killed him!! Totally dropped the ball with stupid procedures.

Great place to detox and bring your body/mind back to its healthy state! Discrete facility with a peaceful and calm environment. The staff was very helpful and and as understanding as possible to patients. I would like to appreciate Heather specifically for trying her best to communicate between families and providing our family member with the best care available. Thank You Heather for your professionalism and sincere care and attention!

Yes as someone who was admitted you’re allowed to call anytime as long as the phone is open and they aren’t doing med time or eating

Yes
No. Only suboxone.
Not only are they "confiscated ". They are stolen. Trish took my ($900) new phone. Low and behold, 30 days later, they "couldn't find it". What option did I have? Call the police and tell them my phone was stolen a month ago? This happened to a high percentage of the other residents.
Hi, Angel. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. Due to federal patient privacy laws, we can only discuss care with a patient or guardian.
That's a question you call during business hours with.
Call the main number and have them direct you. That would be the easiest way to do it.
You may want to call them directly about visitation, and when it's permitted.
No, it's actually illegal to give any type of information on anyone. Technically, according to HIPPA Law, information can't be given on anyone who may or may not be there
Get help because it gets worst if you don't you will lose
No they are together
