I went there 6/13/2020 and i was only there for not even 24 hours. I refused to get out of bed so early in the morning that a staff member literally picked me up under my arms and left a mark on my left arm pit. And had to beg the staff to let me call my dad and he ended up picking me up on 6/14/2020 because of what i told him that had happened. So I dont reccomend this place at all for your kids.

After reading these reviews, I was terrified when I found out that MYA is where my child was placed for treatment. She has now been there for a year, and I can say that, in my experience, MYA is exactly what/where she needed. No place is perfect and I'm sure anyone can find something to complain about, but I truly don't have real complaints. This is not being written to minimize another person's experience but I can say that the staff at MYA that I have dealt with (and I deal with staff on a pretty much daily basis) genuinely do care about the kids there and they are in this line of work because they want to see these kids live up to their potential. From the nursing staff to therapists to education team staff, I have been talked to and treated with respect. My daughter's therapist has went above and beyond what any other therapist has ever done for my daughter and family (and we've had a previous one who was amazing). She has always made sure that not only is my daughter taken care of mentally but also myself and other 2 children who struggle with their sister being gone. While this situation is not ideal, I know that it is what's best and that the staff at Mountain Youth are taking care of my daughter during her stay.

Our son has been here for 3 weeks now, his glasses got broke, we was told they would see about fixing them. That has not been done yet. In 3 weeks we have talked to 2 people. We get the run around & no answers. Most the time the is no answer or no return calles. It's truly heartbreaking when it don't seem like your child is getting the help they need or as a parent you can not get answers about how your child is doing.

this place is absoluely terrible. it is so toxic. constant verbal abuse. the staff here have tried their best but the students here are terrible.

I can tell you as an ex employee these people are the best and try very hard to help kids
usually understaffed, and no one is able to answer due to kids behaviors.
So just because the kids have mental disabilities there accusations are not relevant?!

The program is 6-9 months, then generally based on patient progress from there.
