Been waiting to port for 3 weeks. No one will return emails, no one answers. They only give you so long to find a place but have no respect when it comes to an individual with a timeline to move into a place, no care or concern. I have deal with 1 person who seemed to really care. They promise to have something done, and then don’t do it!!!

Unresponsive and unapologetic toward people in Section 8 housing, and their neighbors. Leadership of the housing authority has little to know authority over the people they are renting to. It is nearly impossible to have anything improve unless some sort of high crime happens at the house and the police are sitting right there to witness it. Many of the properties are in disrepair, and people who are staying in the housing can stay there for 20 or 30 years without any motivation to move out. The purpose of the program is really difficult to understand. There is a reason why new spots do not open up in the section 8 houses as the people who currently live there are not required to ever move out. Taxpayers dollars going to long-term housing is beyond the payal. Wouldn't it make more sense that these houses would be for people trying to get back on their feet and once they do they move out? It's not the case in Colorado Springs.

DHA is a Blessing!
Svet Magnificent
There is no air conditioning in the halls. The place is just ran down and gross. No security and senior residence live in these conditions.

It just depends on the Housing organization doing the inspection, they are taking a bit longer 2 -3 weeks, usually.
You can contact Legal Services of the city/ county you reside in, regarding your question. DHA does not offer legal advice.

If your wondering about section 8 (housing choice voucher) the answer is No; not at this time. We pull from the pool of applicants that applied this year. We pull throughout the year as vouchers come available The annual submission to the lottery system happens every year in the last two weeks of September. One must apply each year and there is no waiting list. It's a luck of the draw every year. Your number could get pulled the first year or it could be the 10th year...it's a lottery. You will be notified in writing if your number is picked. Make sure that if you change your contact information DHA needs the new information in writing. No need to.come to the office to see if your number has been picked. You can look it up on line on our website. For employment applications you can go to the DHA website and go to the employment link down load and application and see what position snare currently available. Hope this helps.

Sounds nice, thank you. I need a house.
It should say on the notice. There is a 14 day notice to pay and then a 3 day notice to pay or quit. You also can wait for court papers to be served on you, usually another week or so, and explain to a judge your circumstance.
Yes, a landlord has that right. Rent control apartments do not exist in Denver. If you have additional questions, you should contact your landlord or if with section 8 assistance, speak to your case manager.
