Dont trust this place. Mission on paper and not in practice. Mistreatment of people with color. The executive staff needs more management and leadership lessons.

I was recently terminated from JFS for being uncomfortable with covid testing on a weekly basis without exhibiting any symptoms. Now, I was shocked at JFS decision to terminate me I was thinking I would have been offered other solutions such as; continue to wear your mask while on duty. Nope, it was one solutions test or we will have to terminate you. Now, I shouldn't have been surprised being a person of color its always been in the predominantly white employment sector my way or the highway (no matter what). I recently, was interviewed of course I had to discuss why I was terminated. I was truly shocked to hear the agency say JFS is not very trauma informed. Hmmmmmm🤔🤔

I need help paying my rent or mortgage. Does JFS help with that?

Jewish Family Service | Oct 7, 2021
Jewish Family Service | Oct 7, 2021

Yes, we focus our efforts on preventing homelessness by providing individuals and families living on very low incomes with rent assistance, case management, and access to other supportive services. For financial assistance there are specific criteria that must be met, and there are a limited number of application slots. JFS works in collaboration with other agencies throughout the state and we suggest also calling United Way’s Helpline at 2-1-1 for a list of other agencies that might be able to assist you.
