Waited 5 weeks for my appointment, drove 30 min, waited 15 min outside for them to open only to find out their "systems are down" No missed calls from them letting me know.

Yes. This office is strictly appointments only ( official answer i got) ..... However....off the books if ur nice/without attitude, they aren't busy and not already scheduled with appts sometimes they can squeeze u in. Most things however can be handled online or by calling( yes u will be waiting a while for a rep i waited between 20-25 mins , but i did get a response.) please remember u are not the only tax payer and the ppl at this office don't make the rules so coming in person with an attitude will get u nowhere!
No drop box and don't put anything in the drop boxes close to the parking lot. They nor any of the building tenants use those drop boxes.
They might but you can't even get into the building.
At least 5 years no more some states require 7.
You can call the office in York and they should be able to steer you in the right direction. Or if you prefer face to face service you can schedule an appointment. 844-545-5640 to schedule or you can check IRS.gov. I did a face to face and they were very nice and helpful. Either way I think they can help you. Best of luck. I had a very good experience.

You file online. Just make sure your let them know it's from 2017. Or go to a tax center.
