My mother and I attended a talk here last week. Good parking right on the street. Beautiful building. Great seating area for listening to speakers. My mother and I were greeted by members of the writers group. We felt welcomed and appreciated. The talk was interesting and thought-provoking. We would like to return during normal hours to view their museum displays.

So much to see and learn here!! Who knew so much history was preserved in our area. Was able to learn about history highlighting black desdcansts of York and women suffrage movement in York. Can't wait to go back but you seriously need 3 hours to enjoy the place and we only had 1!

Some--there were not a lot of settlers in York County yet at that time. York County officially became a county in 1741, but there were already some people living on the west side of the Susquehanna by then.
