Really fun and challenging routes! Student day pass was perfect for breaking up a road trip. Staff was attentive and extremely friendly. Small fitness center with a single bench+rack+bar tucked off to the side to help you finish your training session. Perfectly empty for me, but I bet it might get backed up during peak hours. Bummed I wasn’t there on the beer night.

My impression after one month with a membership is that they reset frequently, offer zero-commitment prepaid monthly membership (I’ve never seen this before) and it’s both family-friendly but also good for training. Not overpriced like gyms often are especially considering you get a free beer at the brewery on Tuesdays.

My first bouldering gym; plenty of more beginner-level problems, and I've never met an unkind person who went here. People love cheering each other on and helping each other out.

Great play for beginners and kids of all ages! Took my 3 year old and she had a blast. They have a great family plan too!

We are a bouldering gym, which is a type of climbing done without harnesses/ropes. All falls are onto large landing mats at the base of the walls. Additionally the walls only go up to about 14' high. This style of climbing is more reliant on good falling technique on the part of the climber, but it is ultimately lower risk than roped climbing, where the falls are potentially much higher. For new climbers, staff is always available to help teach falling technique and other good safety habits.
Since this question was asked two years ago, we have since become able to rent crash pads, with some caveats. Rentals are only available to members, and are only available to use at local bouldering areas with established guidebooks, and must not be used for highballs or other climbs with elevated risk ratings.
Pat, if your 3 year old enjoys climbing vertical surfaces, this would be a good place to bring him! He would definitely need close, direct supervision, but if an adult is with him at all times he would have fun monkeying around.
$16 for a day pass, or $12 if you're a student, veteran, or military. Kids are $10 as well!
