70s music playing during the lunch hour, breakfast served all day, and beignets that don’t disappoint… I like Mayfel’s. Good Louisiana cuisine that makes you feel like you are sitting in downtown NOLA, not Asheville. All 6 meals were well prepared and the service top notch. Recommend!

Wonderful atmosphere! New Orleans style decor with exceptional wait staff! Food is outstanding along with nice selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. Will DEFINITELY be back for more!

We stumbled upon Mayfel’s when our first brunch place had to long of a wait and we are so glad we did. Mayfel’s has a great staff that is very kind. The food also comes out quick and is delicious. The home fries were seasoned to perfection, some of the best I’ve ever had. The Crab Cake Benedict was very good and filling. The egg on top was poached nicely and the hollandaise sauce on top was great in flavor (not to much, not to little, the perfect compliment). My wife‘a word: My home fries were really well seasoned and crunch on the outside and soft on the inside (the perfect combo) her Smoked Salmon Benedict was delightful and paired well with the poached egg. We both loved this place.

This was my favorite food of our Asheville trip! I’m obsessed with eggs Benedict and have had it many places, but their crab cake Benedict is the best I’ve ever had. The macaroni and cheese is also a must if you stop here. I want to come back for the beignets! Our service was a little rocky at first, but our waiters swapped midway, and the second one was much kinder. We ate outside and it was heated and covered, so no need to worry about weather. I did pop inside to use the restroom though, and it was cute and whimsical.
