Great place to walk or ride. The yellow dotted line (in the middle of the path) is a useful feature if properly used. What you want to do is stay on the right side of it.

Very good ride from court street in Redding to shasta dam is 30 miles round trip Take plenty of food and water The earlier you go the better it will be

Very nice ride along the river, no serious elevation gain but the loop is under 6 miles.

Up at Shasta DAM you go up there and ask for directions it's a nice place chappie, Shasta off highway vehicle area
