UPDATE:9/14- Review not staged as company is suggesting... "Ma'am" I am sorry If someone's review that calls you out on a potential problem triggers a response pointing a finger back at the reviewer, rather than "I'm sorry, we had an issue with our phones, or all experts were insanely busy at that time, etc." It happens, and reviews are here for a reason, to share experiences. I understand accountability can be difficult for many, so I am certain no amount of dialog here will change your outlook or attitude. As far there being a problem with my phone, there certainly was no issue with the salon that I called and successfully visited afterwards. As far as whether I used this business or not, I wanted to, however did not even have the opportunity. I tried to call several times to ask a question and make an appointment because it seemed like a really great place to go. Both times, someone picked up the phone (I could hear her talking), and she immediately hung up the phone without saying hello, thank you for calling, go away, etc… Quite disappointing. Let’s not forget that your clients are what make you successful. If those of us that most certainly have the money to spend, and want to look fabulous are unable to make an appointment due to some poor business practices, I don’t believe it will be very favorable for you. I do hope management has a word with whoever was in charge of answering phones today, because there are many, many salons to choose from in the central Florida area, and you do seem to have decent reviews. I would really hate to see yet another business go under.

The owner of this salon is extremely professional, very well educated and talented, and her passion for what she does is very evident. Additionally, she is one of the most kind-hearted and generous people that I have ever met. She goes above and beyond in order to make her clients feel confident, especially in the color correction cases. I can speak to this, as I came to her a year ago with extremely damaged hair. My appointment was supposed to be a consult, but my low self-esteem was obvious and she ended up taking me in as a client that night and beginning the process of taking care of my damaged hair. I also received extensions, and a year later my hair is thicker, longer, healthier, and I'm still loving my extensions. I wish I could end my review here but unfortunately, I've witnessed a few clients who seem to come into the salon with the goal of spreading their unhappiness/trying to skip out on paying for services. Each new client must first receive a thorough consultation with a stylist, usually the owner, and it is very extensive and requires a signature to make sure that the client agrees that they received answers to all that they asked for and that they answered all questions about their previous treatments honestly. They are also signing off on expectations, and oftentimes, the reality of what color correction involves. Believe me, I went through this process, had a very candid conversation, and felt more than comfortable signing the paperwork. Two weeks ago, I was in the salon receiving a service from the owner, and suddenly a new client who had already received hours of color correction and obviously had been through the consultation started throwing an absolute FIT. All stylists immediately came to her side to listen to why she was upset. When she explained why, the owner kindly reminded her that they had thoroughly discussed every aspect of color correction and that it's not a one time process. The client then started yelling, verbally attacking the owner, and physically backing her into a corner of the salon when the owner said she needed space. It was very uncomfortable for everyone in the salon, and she ended up leaving without paying and making an absolute scene. If you've met the owner, you know that she offered so many options to help the client feel more comfortable with the (already anticipated) outcome. Instead, this client thoroughly insulted the owner. Yes, she continued to provide excellent services after this client stormed out, but it was evident that she was truly hurt. Who could blame her, knowing that she goes out of her way to help others feel good about themselves, AND she is a philanthropist and donates time and money when she's not working. I'm still so upset two weeks after this experience and I just have to share. I haven't looked to see if there are any reviews from that client, but I can promise you that once you become a client here, you've got a stylist and an advocate for life. Remember, be kind. We are all human. Some of us just give even more and end up getting hurt in the process.

I’ve been going to this salon for over 3 yrs now and always receive 5 star services. My hair is very fine and was extremely damaged when I first started visiting this salon. Under Shaunda’s care and expertise, over the course of just a few months, the difference in my hair has been amazing! It’s super shiny, soft and the cut is very flattering- I finally LOVE my hair! Shaunda’s attention to detail sets her apart from other stylists I have had in the past. She also has MAD braiding skills and has helped me with some elaborate hairstyles for Halloween events. Their hair extensions are also the BOMB! The owner, Mia, does my eyebrows (permanent makeup) and was able to repair a previously botched micro blading disaster. On a more personal note, these ladies don’t just provide me with stellar service, they have become like family to me. They created a welcoming and warm environment that put me at ease immediately. The fun stories, yummy wine (especially after a rough day) and super relaxing atmosphere has me sometimes coming in just to get my hair curled for the company. Amazing salon with equally amazing people! Can’t say enough great things about this place!
