Fungus gnats are a common nuisance pest. They do bite or cause significant damage to plants, but can be annoying. There are several control options ranging from repotting the plant(s), treating the soil and/or using fly traps. I suggest stopping by the Plant Clinic to explore your options. David

Shredded hardwood is our most popular variety and is at the lowest end of our mulch price range. We also carry dyed mulches, cypress, cedar, silver dollar, rappahanock, cocoa shell and a variety of others. Let me know if you are looking for any particular qualities, or you are welcome to stop by the store and see them all!

Hi Daena - I just spoke with one of our horticulturists and she agrees with Matt that marigolds are a good choice. Rabbits will munch on a lot of flowers but they do not like marigolds. Please let me know if we can be of any further assistance, or feel free to visit us in store!
