Please, do not buy your parrots here. Not only are there MANY parrots up for adoption/rehoming (for SIGNIFICANTLY less than what breeders are charging anyway!!!) this place has a HORRIBLE history of selling sick birds. I briefly worked in the vet field and I was disturbed by how many sick birds we saw from Bird Jungle. It was heartbreaking. Never bring your bird here for grooming as well since they would be exposed to anything the other birds have. In the 90s and early 2000s this place was all the rage, but its just not a reputable place to get your birds from.

These folks are the best. They are super helpful and have the most tame birds. I can spend the whole day there. Their selection of bird toys and food is second to none. Highly recommend to all!

Great service... Right idea dealing in unweaned birds...
In Gratitude Prolific
I purchased my African grey here a few years ago. I stopped in to buy some food and toys and the vibe was so off. Rosa who has been there for years seems checked out. I mean at this point if your not happy find another job that fits you. The other two guys there seem just as unhappy. I do not recommend coming here unless you really need something. There are plenty of other bird stores where the energy is right and you feel good about spending your money. This place has gone way down hill.

I bought a quaker parrot here. I believe I paid around $400. The birds are hand fed and tame.
Bird Jungle accepts any birds that need to be rehomed. Bring them in anytime during regular hours.
For weaned birds it is 30 days. For unweaned birds they are guaranteed until weaned as long as we are seeing the bird weekly for monitoring. During those periods we will cure or replace a sick or deceased bird. No refunds.
Yes we do. They are $5199
We don't have any Hyacinths available. Sorry
You can hold the birds.
We don’t have any babies at this time. We expect some Umbrella Cockatoos in late December and they will be around $3000. Cockatoos can talk. Usually a few words.
Hi Ron, a Green Cheek Conure, I am not sure could be 300.00 + birds are expensive, a small cocatiel could go for about 200.00 a opaline, or pied may vary for a bit more
We have young unweaned babies. Most are $229.
We do DNA gender testing. We take a few drops of blood from a nail and send it to a DNA lab. It's not risky at all. We charge $50.00.
That is correct. Bird Jungle only pays for any baby birds that we need but we will never refuse a bird that needs a home.
Unfortunately, when we get adult keets for rehoming they are almost never tame. You either have to get a baby to tame and take a chance of it’s sex. Or get an adult male and try to tame it.
Please call me at the store after 3pm today and I can explain what we do. What we do varies by species, age, condition and personality.
$3699 to $4999
An African grey will cost you no less than 7 to 8 thousand, after cage and food purchases maybe 3 hundred more. You will have the bird for the rest of your life and it will bring you a lot of joy
Ringneck season is over and we are sold out. They breed for a relatively short time in the spring. Sorry!
They have them. Best thing is to get baby that is either just weened and still being syringe fed. They'll bond with you more.
They start at $5,999 for Blue + Golds.
Unfortunately no, but it is very early in the breeding season. Usually we don't start seeing Cockatoos until at least April.
You can handle the birds that want to be handled.
All birds here are hand tamed, in fact I don't know about the rest but my African grey was a hatchling I actually had to visit it and feed it as it grew in order to build the bond between us, it was a great experience. So yes they are hand raised and well worth getting to have one.
We have lots of baby handfeeding Lovebirds.
Unfortunately we don’t have any at this time.
We don’t have tame ones but we have really young ones that should tame easily. On rare occasion we get handfed ones.
Our Cockatiels are $349 each. Most, if not all, are unweaned and require weekly monitoring visits back to the store for monitoring until weaned.
Quakers, Indian ringnecks, conures, tiels, probably Senegals, Grey, eclectus off the top of my head.
While we don't have any right now at least 2 of our breeders have told us they expect to have some. We only sell locally because we sell unweaned and require weekly monitoring visits back to the store. If you think you can do that please call the store at 914-723-5556. Put your name on our request list so we can call you when we get anym in. Thank you! Due to a major national bird shortage pricing has been volatile. Our breeders don’t give us final pricing until the birds are ready to go. Last year they were 2199, so I’m sure they will be higher.
Unfortunately we have no Pionis this season so far.
Our baby Suns are $799. Due to Covid, we do bird sales by appointment. We do appointments by phone, so at the same time inquire about availability.
So as not to have too many people in the store at once we do grooming and bird sales by appointment and of course we require masks.
I’m not sure what you mean. Buying a bird is like any other store. You do have to show you are competent enough to handfeed after we instruct you.
None yet, but they should be coming soon. We won’t know the prices until they arrive.
We sell them unweaned and require weekly imonitoring visits until weaned. They start atn $199. For current availability call the store at 914-723-5556
We have 2 babies at $5999 each.
Sorry but no. The breeding season hasn;t really started yet for most breeders.
We have a bunch of them. This year the price went up to $799 .
The appointment book is in the store. Please call after 10:00 when we open. 914-723-5556. Thanks
Quaker season is over. It is not likely we will have any baby Quakers for another few months.
Cockatiel sized cage are $59.99 and up. We sell handfeeding baby cockatiels.
We just sold our last one. The price has jumped to $4999.
Most are $299. Availability has been spotty since the demand is so strong, so call the store at 914-723-5556 to ask what's available on any given day.
They are $699. We currently are sold out. We hope to get more soon.
We can’t legally sell Scarlets in New York since they went onto the endangered list. Sorry! Most large Macaws are $4000 and up. They have been going up in price rapidly the last couple of years. The supply has been decreasing and demand is strong.
We haven't had one in 3 years. Birds have increased in price tremendously due to low supply so I think they would be priced so high to be difficult to sell so we have no intention to get more.
We don’t know. We usually get a few every 3 weeks or so but sometimes we have a dry spell.
While they aren't handfed when we get a new shipment they are very young and easy to train. We are expecting a shipment on 9/18/20, so if you get one of them during that first week I think you'll find it quite easy to train.
Since we can't get many birds until next breeding season next spring we not only won't reduce prices but we are considering increasing prices. The demand far exceeds the supply. I'm sorry but those are the conditions that we are experiencing.
The Nape is just over 3 months. The Macaws will come separately when the breeder feels they are ready. We don't know the current ages.
We have a Yellow Nape Amazon that has just weaned and saying "Hello" for $3299. Except for some Amazons very few parrots start to talk that young.
They have gone up a lot in the last couple of years. I hope to get a Blue and Gold and a Catalina soon. I expect the Catalina to be $4999 and the Blue + Gold to be somewhat less but I won't know until I see what I have to pay the breeder. In order to buy a baby from us you have to be close enough to us to come back weekly for monitoring visits we require on unweaned birds.
Sorry, they have been increasingly hard to come by and we currently have none. Babies should be somewhere in the $4000 to $5000 range.
We don't have any. They have gone way up. The last babies we had were $3999 but any future ones should be more. Don't get babies confused with adults. Adults cost much less but usually aren't very tame.
We have baby Blue + Golds at $4299 and we are supposed to get a Scarlet at $4999.
We currently have no babies. When we get any they will be at least $3999.
We don't have any at the moment. Lately our breeders haven't had many babies. That could change at any time. I have my fingers crossed!
Cockatiels yes. Cheap no! Babies are $249 and up. Adults are less but usually don’t make good pets.
We are unusually low at the moment but just got in a few white ones @99.99 each.
I'm sorry you have to rehome your bird. We do that all the time. We accept ALL birds for rehoming except ill birds. If you decide to do that just bring him in any time. Please write down all you know about him so we can best place him(age,diet,habits,tameness,etc.).
We currently don't have any. The last ones earlier this year were $3999.
Sorry but they start at $399
We will do a DNA test on any bird. The fee is $50.
We have only had a couple the last couple of years. If any become available we will certainly get them.
We do get them from time to time but haven't had any in a while. I couldn't give you a good guess as to availability or price at this time. Sorry about that.
We rarely have pigeons and doves. The only time we do is when someone gives us any. Try united pigeon in the Bronx.
We may or may not come across those mutations but determining the sex of them when they are immature would involve DNA testing. I'm not a genetics expert so possibly the lutino pearl gender may be sex linked but we surely couldn't visually sex the Whiteface. They both are not common mutations.
We do grooming but not taming. During these extraordinary times we do grooming by appointment. Please call the store to set up a time 914-723-5556. We don't do taming but we highly recommend the webinar replays of a world renowned bird behaviorist Barbara Heidenreich. Her website is goodbirdinc.com.
Certainly! Bring them in anytime.
Most of our babies are 3 weeks and up. The large majority are on 3 feedings. We sell them on baby food and require weekly visits back to the store for monitoring until they are weaned.
I will always be there
We sell them currently at $199. Call the store for availability.
You should just go and check out the shop. You can interact with all the birds they have. If you're interested in buying a bird, this is the place to go!
They have all kinds of heathy birds.you want to take them all home with you. been going to bird jungle for many years. Never disappointed with the birds , food and supplies prices
We sell many different styles and sizes with a big range in prices.
No appointment necessary. Depending on the species nails go from $6.00 to $10.00 and wings go from $4.00 to $8.00.
$349 to $549
We only have a female from 2018. The breeding season is just starting so we probably won’t see babies for a couple of months.
We have a small assortment of wild bird food.
I am not sure. You can speak to the manager about volunteering.
Right now we have no young babies. We get them sporadically so I can't promise you a specific timeframe but we usually get them at least monthly. The babies are $119 and up. We do have 2 untamed ones about 6 months old at $99 each.
lo siento mucho bird jungle no vende palomas. 555
There are no universal floorings that I am aware of. Most bird cage companies make gratings that are specifically made for their cages. I have removed the gratings from my personal birds cages because they love to get down and rip up the newspapers that I put down. I feel that relieves boredom.
American Budgies 19.99, English Budgies 89.99, Tiels 199.00 and up, lovebirds 119.00 and up, we rarely have Doves Tiels and Lovebird prices are for babies, wild adults are less.
We have Green ones @ $399, Blues @ $499 and a White @ $699.
We have regular Greencheeks at $299 and other Greencheek mutations for $349 and up.
Yes we do and our babies are $199 and up.
Members of the parrot family range from parakeets for $19.99 to thousands of dollars for the larger parrots. The only red ones I can think of are Eclectus parrots which are $2199.00. The only Blue one I can think of are Blue Quaker mutations which are $499.00. I think the only practical way for you to shop for a parrot is to come to Bird Jungle and check out all the different birds, see their prices and ask questions.
Our babies are mostly $199 with a few rarer mutations more. We sell them unweaned but require weekly monitoring visits until weaned.
We do a lot of bird boarding. We charge between $8.00 and $13.00 per day depending on species. Call the store if you have any other questions.
We only have one hen at the moment. Their breeding season starts again in the spring.
We can when necessary, but when they are clotted we leave them alone in most circumstances.
Mealy parrots are very uncommon these days. I haven't had one in over 10 years. Very few breeders still have them and the ones that do have pairs most are no longer producing. I'm sure there are still some breeders still producing them but they are hard to find. Since there are so few my guess is that if you find any they will be pricy. Sorry!
Unfortunately, we haven’t received any from our breeders yet this year. We can let you know if we come across any.
You can call bird jungle they can give you a number of the vet they use I hope that helps and I hope your bird is okay
Yes you can but be careful because some of them bite and are mean. And don't wear and jewelry. My sister had her earring ripped off by one of the birds...
Carmen I don't understand only African Grey because I have one and I LOVE my bird he says the cutest things he loves one on one time
