AC Doesn't work for summer!!! Management always doesn't have available to talk to us! All they can do is let me email them! And I always have to pay full price rent! Btw the room temperature is always around 77F to 80F! If y'all can't fix it buy us some cheap AC for rooms!

Updated Review This place is not worth half the money they charge. It’s been 11 months since my girlfriend has moved in to the Vic and it’s been dreadful. Outside of the main problem, which has been the AC unit, there are several issues with management. For starters, immediate solutions don’t exist. Last week, we were locked out of the spare bedroom, which contains the washer and dryers units. It was locked because maintenance came in and locked the door after they were finished. It took them five days to unlock the door and at least 15 calls. The work the office truly does is solely to pass those on the line around until the caller gives up on trying. Maintenance locking us out of washer and dryer has happened twice actually and the first time that we were locked out a nice service guy doing work in the room unlocked it for us. He of course was not the Vic staff, but employed to do work through them. He told me that he has wanted his company to drop the Vic as a client for 2 years now because of how awful they are. The AC situation was never fixed, so in total out of the 11 months we have exactly 3 months of working AC. They did install *temporary* window AC units. This however has dramatically increased her utility bills. By dramatically increased I mean over hundreds of dollars. The last four months with just window AC units has costed her over $1000 in extra fees for a problem the Vic is responsible for. Just so it is noted these window units help with the heat in the room, but the living room still sits just below 80 degrees. I recommend that this place replace its entire staff, hire more maintenance, and fix most problems quickly and efficiently. I recommend if you are planning to rent here expect to be overcharged, expect to be worked around, and expect to cry a lot. We are not staying here next year, which was decided half a year ago. If the area wasn’t so dangerous too I would have considered knocking on doors and unionizing the residents. Please do not live here. I expect a baseless response from the Vic apologizing for this experience, but just know it’s not acceptable please do better for residents or charge $200 rent because that’s what this place is worth. Previous Review My girlfriend stays here and it’s a battle to get anything done. Her AC has barely worked the year she’s stayed there, despite over 10 requests. She’s called, contacted higher ups, even told to just try running into maintenance and asking them for help by someone who worked there. The space is nice, but the people who work there only seem paid to blow you off. It’s definitely the reason why we won’t be continuing her lease next year. If you like 80 degree nights year round with no real regard for your comfort this place is perfect for you and your friends.

I want everybody to know how wonderful and amazing customer service you will experience with Terrence. Terrence was so pleasant and informative. I called him my guardian angel. I told Terrence he really does not know how much he really calm and ease my mind. I was so upset from wasting time (3mths to be exact) with another Apartment complex trying to secure housing for my son due to his campus does not have housing for the upcoming fall. The other apartment complex did not have good communication and was not informative. But Terrence the superhero, guardian angel came to my rescue!! Terrence was so informative and the positive confident tone in every answer and statement really ease my mind and relax me!!! To all parents or guardians that need any help with securing housing for the fall. Terrence is at The Vic to inform you and make you feel at ease doing the stressful process. Thank you... Unprofessional office reps. Apartments are dirty and molded. They don't fix anything. Air conditioning doesn't work properly. And Apartment manager is nonexistent. Anything over 2 stars is definitely fake and done by friends of people working in the office getting paid to just sit there and lie to people. I would greatly appreciate a response from corporate cause let the insubordinates in the office tell it, they're nonexistent as well. Hopefully a local news station can locate whoever runs these slums. Update....corporate address is 7717 Southwest Pkwy, Austin Texas, 78735 under Campus Life & Style
