This was my first estate sale/house sale so I did some research and found good reviews for China Cats in Jacksonville. I’m glad I listened to the reviews and contacted them. They were extremely professional, more than flexible, and genuinely caring throughout the process. I would recommend them 100%, but I will add a couple of things I learned. If they give you an option for three days instead of two, take it. Horrible weather the second day had an extremely negative impact on sales and it would have been nice to have had that third day to get more people in. I wish they had pushed that harder but ultimately my mistake. Also, vet the liquidators or clean out companies who will take over once the sale is over. Have a couple of companies ready to come in and offer a bid. One wanted to charge me money to take away beautiful furniture, lovely wall decor, sterling jewelry, etc., as part of the clean out, while another offered a fair price for what was left while also getting rid of the “unsellable” stuff. Thanks to China Cats for helping me find a good company to deal with. But I wish they had stressed this was my responsibility - they led me to believe at the first meeting they would take care of the clean out. Cost them a star. Kudos to Ladybug Consignment in Macclenny for being fair, honest, and polite during the home clean out on a rush basis. (Do not deal with Double D Treasure Barn!) Read the contract carefully. I missed that credit card fees are charged to the customer and that there was an additional fee for advertising that was not part of the 35% of sales. Having said all that, I would use China Cats again. Their attention to detail is exemplary and their willingness to help their customer is gratifying.

Everyone at China Cat is fantastic! They did our estate sale on relatively short notice and everything was handled perfectly. Once the sale was completed they coordinated the removal of what remained (not much) and the cleaning prior to our closing. We could not have asked for anything more.
