This is the worst Canadian consulate I have ever seen. The worst consulate. The lady on the phone was very pushy and never gave any useful information. All she told me was to go to the immigration canada website, as if I wanted to immigrate there as a Canadian citizen. It is best to approach embassies and consulates in your home country as they are much more helpful. Unbelievable! Customer service doesn't even deserve a star.

My Canada work permit is being processed at this office. I’ve been waiting for over 100 days and I am at the risk of losing my job due to it, but I never got an update on my case. None of my emails, phone calls or webform queries got any substantive response. I feel sorry for everyone who has to interact with them (including myself).
Update:
6 months has passed since I submitted my application, but I still haven’t heard anything back from them regarding what is happening to my work permit. Next week I will be terminated by my employer, thanks to their ridiculous processing time.
Canada, as one of the top immigration countries in the world, your immigration department is a total joke. Choosing Canada is the most regrettable decision I’ve made in my life.

Its amazing how useless this office is. You cannot get information regarding anything from them. Why do they even bother opening a consulate when there is no service being offered. Got on hold o the phone for an hour. Finally got an answer yet they dont know how to answer any simple questions regarding entering canada. Unbelievable. I'd give it zero star if i can since 1 is too generous for this office.

Terrible experience ever. I had submitted my application 4th of jan 2019 and went to biometric 7th of jan 2019. Its 22nd jan no answer from consulate. Are you guys sending applications to Mars for verification. Lmao 😂🤣

Go onto Canada's cic.gov site and look for visitor visa. Make an account to do it via online it goes faster...remember if you need longer stay make sure you reapply 30 days before one (if u get it) so it won't expire....good luck hope u get to see her...

If you are travelling by land you don't need a visa to enter Canada. You need your passport and your Green card. If you travel by air you need to apply ETA online in their website. There's a fee of $7 and it's valid for 5 years.

If you never renounced Canadian citizenship, you should simply go to a Canadian embassy with your birth certificate and your canadian parent(s) birth certificate(s) and apply for a Canadian passport.

You will not allowed entry without a valid passport. If you are taking the greyhound they also will not let you on the buss with a valid passport. The only time the Canadian will let you in is if you are a Canadian Citizen who is going to renew your passport, because upon your return to New Your the will not let the Canadian in without a valid passport
