I was here over the 4th of July weekend and left yesterday. The staff is friendly enough, there is onsite parking, water gets hot and the pressure is good but this hotel has gone down since the last time I was there in 2019. Stains are all over the rug in the lobby. Our first room was a nightmare. It smelled, looked dirty and gross. We asked to change rooms. The second room wasn’t much better. The the 3rd floor where we eventually ended up smelled awful as soon as you got off the elevator. Speaking of the elevator, profanities and other graffiti are carved into the inside elevator door. The room and halls smelled dank and like mildew. There were stains all over the carpet, mold, the air from the air conditioner had a terrible odor, and items were broken or in very poor condition in the room. We used a chair and shirt to try to block the smelly air from the air conditioner from blowing in our faces. The chairs, linens and couch were dirty and the room just over all seemed damp. Towels that weren’t even completely saturated never dried out in that room. The towels were threadbare and worn. I could see through several towels. They claim to only come clean the room every three days I believe, but was never cleaned and I had to keep asking for towels. It’s summer time in New Orleans meaning it’s hotttt. They can at least refresh the towels. The walls were even dirty and the silver lamps in the room were rusty and tarnished. There is blue painters tape on the ceiling in my room and something had been ripped off the walls. The once white fridge looked beige, dirty and it was dented in several places. I absolutely hated my stay at this hotel. I did not feel comfortable sitting or staying in the room longer than I had to. Thank goodness I had plenty of activities planned to keep me out as much as possible. I don’t think this hotel was ready to open after the last hurricane. It clearly has some lasting damage from the water. You can smell it and see it. Mold, mildew and cleanliness is a major issue. The hotel probably needs to be gutted. There is a hotel down the road that’s still undergoing renovations from hurricane Ida. Maybe this one should take some time to do some much needed renovations as well. The price for the room is too high for what you get. They charged the same as a much nicer hotel and I know that for a fact because we were in town with a few of our friends and their hotels and rooms were great for about the same price. This hotel should charge what it’s worth and not new nice hotel prices. I love NOLA and pre pandemic visited 2-3 times a year. I always stay in Metairie. This time was the first time I couldn’t wait to leave. I’m actually embarrassed I stayed here. I will never stay at this or any Sleep Inn again. I’ll probably never trust another Choice hotel. I’m not even sure I’ll stay in Metairie again.

Trash all over parking lot and trash cans over flowing Elevator had graffiti wrote in it. My first room was not cleaned yet about 6:30 p.m. next room gross stains all over carpet main door of room not closing properly stains on ceiling. Tables not wipe glass pictures look like stuff had splashed on them. Small gross way overpriced for quality and area. Worse I have stayed in. Would never recommend. Not sure why it has high ratings.

Staff is very friendly. The lobby looks great but that were it ends. The rooms are out dated, furniture and beds are worn out and smells. Poor ventilation in the bathrooms caused mold to grow on the walls. Carpet is dirty and stained. No real breakfast. I feel the owners don't really care about the hotel they haven't done anything in years.

Super friendly staff and a great effort made to make you feel comfortable, but this location falls short of standards in some notable ways. Noise - it is far too easy to not only hear cars and conversations by people even in the parking lot, but of course by people inside. Room condition - you shouldn't expect too high of standards if comparing to a higher star hotel, but you do expect to have a room that doesn't have that permanent damp feel, random nail holes around the bathroom, and shoddy drywall patchwork. The best part of the hotel is the reception area, which is neatly decorated and comfortable. It is really unfortunate to leave a three-star review, but to be honest it was the friendliness of the staff that kept it from being two star. The stairwells had people smoking in them. The bathroom towels were either of the lowest quality or 30 years old. I have no intentions of staying here on my return visits.

I was there last weekend and I can verify this is a very clean hotel and there were NO bed bugs.
