Recently went to Ascension for two tattoos, both from Jai. All around an absolute amazing experience. Everyone there is friendly, and the space is cozy and welcoming. As for the tattoos- Jai is exceptional. She took my spooky ideas and gave them life with her own style. They healed great and I am so proud to show them off whenever I get a chance. If you’re in the greater Triangle area and want a tattoo, you won’t find a better spot than Ascension.

I've gotten tattoos from a bunch of people at this point but I have to say, Simone (Lunchboxfox) was one of my favorites. She was open to figuring out a design that worked for me and she's pretty good at reading the mood too. Easy to have a conversation with but when I wanted to chill she never pushed me to keep the conversation going. I love the tattoo and I'm hyped to see more of their work.

My daughter got her 1st tattoo there and who she had did amazing work. I will say she paid cash and it was a little cheaper..

The previous answer is incorrect. They will in fact do piercings for children, but might possibly have a lower limit of about eight years old. Both the child and the parent need to have some sort of identification that proves the parent-child relationship. (A letter about the child from a school, a library card, etc would probably be sufficient -- call them to be sure. Our daughter had a passport, though.) If the last names are different, then the bar is a bit higher -- bring in something that proves legal responsibility. Alexia (piercing artist) and the front desk attendant were both very good with my daughter, explaining everything (sometimes more than once). She had a lot of questions and they took their time with her and helped her understand the process completely. The studio and the process were very clean, and Alexia was particularly good at interacting with my daughter respectfully as a child.
Best to show up on a walk in day for same day service. Meghan is great and often booked months in advance.
