The park is open year round, 24/7.
Great answer from Angela Faulconer! I agree that Capitol Reef is a natural resort. We spent a week there in early October and found it to be a beautiful setting with wonderful hikes and interesting history. As to Hayes's specific questions, Capitol Reef is not a resort like staying at a fancy hotel on a tropical beach or going to Disney World. If you wish to stay inside the park, camping is the only option. But there are plenty of hotels and a few rental houses just outside the park in the town of Torrey. Also some very nice restaurants in Torrey. As to the weather, I don't know about today (you could just check weather.com for that) but when we were there in early October the weather varied. We had mostly sunny skies and pleasant temperatures, but we also had some rain and even a day with an inch of snow. Well, snow in Torrey but rain in the park. Good luck with your project!
The visitor center is definitely the most crowded, and the Hickman Bridge trail is the busiest in terms of hiking.
Of course. But they weren't a problem when I was hiking during the day
The temperature would be very much pleasant in April.
There are horse's, but they do not belong the NPS, best to check your options online.
No not at this time. Supercharging stations in Richfield and Green River. Torrey and Hanksville have RV locations with hookups. But the cost may be pricey and they may not be familiar with your needs
Yes and it is beautiful! A very underrated park.
