This place was amazing. They have regular rooms or private cabins and Tee pee's. They also have a pool, hot tub and, workout room. Nice little Cafe restaurant attached as well. But the best thing was the view from my window. This place is surrounded by a majestic mountain view. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall decent resort. We stayed for 2 nights. We had a room with 2 queen beds with patio. We couldn't get to enjoy much of resort facilities as hot tub was not working and it rained so fire pit couldn't be used Maid service was not good at all. They didn't clean our room or replace any toiletries.. However the front desk was responsive and would immediately send someone when we requested. One front desk staff was not friendly during check-in process or subsequent questions. Might stay at some other place in the future.

Honestly, Capitol Reef Resort did not meet my expectations. That's due to it's beautiful website overselling it. The room images make things look much nicer and updated, and that wasn't the case. They should really display more aerial pictures too because pulling up it made me wonder if I was in the right place. Signage confirmed I was, but the website photos were so exquisite and then what I found was more like a really nice motel with fantastic views and neat add-on excursion possibilities. All that to say, it really is in the best location, being so close to the park! It does have wonderful views from the patios/balconies. The teepees were neat looking, and the llamas stabled nearby were fun for our kids to visit. But the pool area is not as nice as pictured, and maybe the website should be honed back a bit to temper guests expectations. Would I stay here again? Probably.

Such a cute resort! We stayed in a two bedroom cabin with an amazing view. The cabins are TIGHT for 4 adults but if you love or like your traveling companions you will be just fine! It’s cozy, feels authentic to environment and the staff at this resort are lovely. Families, couples, or friends - the vibe seems to fit everyone’s needs. The location is so so close to the park and restaurants. Oh and seeing the Llamas made my morning! Loved them!
