Lamentably I had been to numerous Chicago Lakeshore Hospital and I need to say that this one gave the most un-unpleasant experience, briefest stand by an ideal opportunity to get seen, and so on Attendants are exceptionally wonderful, proficient and mindful. Dad's and Providers appear to be entirely learned, tending to the entirety of the patients questions and concerns.

If it’s dealing with hazards and health you need to report to IDH, Illinois department of health. If it deals with staff you need to contact staff director or The boss.
Yes there is detox. I personally recommend it...keeps you in doors for about a week but when it go es down to it...it's not bad. Great staff. Crazy but awesome environment.
I would honestly call them and ask. They would not detox one person with am abscess or another who had another something (sorry can't remember what was wrong) sothey had to go to ER first then come back. They're very helpful. If you call, ask & whatever answer they give, make sure u have their name so you have recourse if intake has something different to say. Call first especially to admit yourself. It will take a little less time but be prepared to be waiting awhile either way. This is the best place to be if they do let you come. Its not easy but it's much easier & safer than trying on your own especially with a baby on the way. If they can't take you, ask them who can or call St. Joseph's. They kinda suck and days are long BUT they're a hospital. Lake shore is specifically a psychiatric hospital. The people there really care & most have been through enough to be able to know how we feel. Please call & ask. And...I know I'm proud of you. Its a hard first & ur doin it! Best of luck!

I've been there and it wasnt bad. Decent food and staff was amazing. This process is very difficult so no matter where you go it's not fun.
