I cannot say enough good things about the Lactation place. I did a prenatal consult with Rebecca to discuss my plan for BF for short term and then transition to formula. It was extremely informative and their detailed care plan and shopping list sets you up for success. I ended up having my baby prematurely and they were completely available to me throughout my entire hospital stay via text and were helpful in guiding me through pumping as my baby was unexpectedly sent to the NICU. Once discharged, we continued to follow with Ashley on a weekly basis. My baby is now 2 months old, and Ashley has been a major source of support and guidance during our transition as new parents. We were frazzled messes when we walked into her office the day after discharge and she has continued to morph and grow our confidence. My plan and execution of my breastfeeding journey has completely changed from my initial plan and having Ashley and the practices help and support throughout has been pivotal. Their early detection of my sons tongue tie was crucial. They assisted us with scheduling the procedure and getting acquainted with the necessary consulting services. We will forever be indebted to the Lactation place and Ashley for the crucial role they played in helping shape our journey as new parents.

I have always thought that I got breastfeeding under control and know what to do, but found out that I could have done better or get more production after meeting with Rebecca. Rebecca is very knowledgeable and is passionate helping breastfeeding moms! She was able to identify and provide suggestions on how to improve on breastfeeding. She answered all my questions in detail, and provide a lot of guidance and ways to make it easier. She also brought up some things that I was not aware of before. Her assistant Maria was also very helpful where she kept all the notes and sent me a copy after the session so I was able to focus on having my questions answered without typing notes on my phone all the time. The place was very cozy and comfortable, I enjoyed the session a lot and ended up improvement my production shortly after. Thank you Rebecca.

I had a great experience with Rebeca. I went to her after having my first baby and I honestly could not have gotten through the postpartum months without her. She was so supportive, honest and informative without pushing any of her own agenda on me. I had a difficult journey as a new mother with breastfeeding but she was there with me every step of the way. Thanks, Rebeca!

Hello Jerry and thanks for your query. You can only get donor human milk from a milk bank. The NY Milk Bank is an excellent non profit organization providing families with donor milk. You can contact them at 212-956-6455 for immediate requests for milk. Here is the page for milk requests: https://www.nymilkbank.org/receive-milk/ Best wishes.
Donor milk does not require a prescription. We do not sell donor milk. Typically, insurance does not cover donor milk unless it is administered when the baby is inpatient at the hospital or under a very specific situation and the baby is medically fragile but even then it is very unlikely they will cover it. We are in contract with Aetna and accept, with pre-approval, most Cigna PPOs, BCBS PPOs and Anthem PPOs.
Yes, we do tele-health for all the services we offer.
