I stayed here for my wedding and it was a mistake. I was staying in a nicer, cheaper establishment with far better service leading up to the wedding and decided to stay here for the nights leading up to the wedding. We were provided two twin beds as the bride and groom and our room was not fully put together with a mirror leaning against the vents on the wall. The Red Roof Inn and Holiday Inn express provide better quality rooms at much more reasonable prices.

Im sorry I have to give a 1 star review. If this was some hole in the wall hotel Id give it 5 stars, but since I paid about $5000 for a small room for the week including parking, I expect decent service. The first thing we realized when we got there was that our toilet was broken. Every time we flushed, the top bowl assembly fell apart and had to be fixed. I tried to get them to fix it and they failed to fix it and I gave up and had to fix it myself after every flush. It was very frustrating. The parking was about $25 a day and if we left and came back it would end up costing even more. Also unless you pay for valet you had to walk pretty far because the valet parking lot was much closer. Room service was slow. I had to call multiple times and wait 40 minutes just to get bottled water. Other times the wait was longer. The staff was always in a hurry and not super friendly as you could tell they were feeling the need to rush so they could get onto the next person. The food quality for room service was bad. We could not eat the omelette or beef has. It just wasn’t good. We got back at 4:00 pm one day and they were still cleaning our room, which was annoying, because it should’ve been done earlier and we had to wait. They also didn’t pick up our dirty towels and just put new ones so we had way too many towels in this little bathroom. There is no complimentary breakfast most of the time and you have to pay $25 per person to go to breakfast buffet. We had an ocean view window but they locked the window so you could only crack it open. The only thing nice about this room was the location, being close to the shops. I would’ve been better off picking almost any other hotel. Please reconsider before staying here. I also want to add that it took a long time to cool the room down and it really didn’t get cold enough for me. They had very thin sheets and it was still too hot.

Newport Marriott is located in the prime location, only couple of minutes walk from downtown area, shopping mall, and all the good stuff of Newport. The hotel has spacious lobby, a beautiful fountain and a humongous Atrium. The hotel has valet parking only with unlimited in and out through out the day, excellent deal for Newport as parking spots are luxury in the downtown area. For our stay, we loved our room, quality beds and pillows, huge smart TV with cable, bathroom was spacious, great water pressure in shower. The lows of our stay was we had booked two rooms, but we got to know only one was reserved, but the hotel managed to find us another room. We didn’t get any room service for two days due to staff shortage, our rooms were a mess. We were not offered any kind of compensation for the lack of service from the hotel. They also lost power for an hour one night. Even though it’s one of the nicest looking Marriott we have been to, experience wise it was one of the bottom ones for us. Luckily Marriott has no other competition in the area, so guests are forced to stick with them in Newport.

I haven't stayed in a hotel quite like this. The bedding was very smooth and comfortable. We paid for a balcony that looks into the atrium and it doesn't disappoint. The service is amazing! We asked for a late check-out and they gave us one extra hour! I enjoy the swimming pool and fitness room, though it was bustling with people. We are so glad to have a perfect location! We spent 3 hours, killing time downtown and shopping. The Black Dog and Ryan's Arcade are large recommendations for Newport. The seaside is very beautiful and worth checking out. There are glass elevators that look down at the lobby and my family enjoyed that. There are snacks right in the lobby. Also, the front desk is super kind and helpful. They were always listening to our questions and what we needed. The room service sounds wonderful! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The parking was confusing. There was public parking and valet parking, but we called the front desk and they were extremely helpful. They also placed fountains and water effects around the lobby which was very interesting! I would rather stay on the upper levels of the hotel, but it is nice we are one of the two rooms surrounded by lush greenery. I would also come here in the summer if possible. But this place is so unique and I could tell they put effort into design and decoration. I would absolutely consider coming here again!!

Good morning Julia, Our hotel does not allow pets. Thank you for your interest.
Yes. It was open 2 weeks ago when I was there, but not the hot tub.
You are about 1 mile from first Beach and 2 miles from second Beach. Just a few weeks ago I took an Uber from the Marriott to Second Beach which is a much nicer beach in the cost was only around $7 each way
