If you are in the area drop by the Newport Art Museum. There is always a new show to view in addition to their permanent collection. If you have an interest in American portraiture, there are several notable portraits by both 19th and 20th century artists.

Better than I expected! There are two buildings. The older building has very charming interior details, a gorgeous staircase, nice paintings. I enjoyed it a lot!

Hi there, yes, the Museum will be open regular hours Friday, March 30 from 10 am - 5 pm. I hope you are able to join us!
I don't think it has an "owner" necessarily. It has a board of directors. The organization has a long history... But am not sure. It's worth an ask at the front desk...
