40' 5th wheel easy access to beautiful spot TAKE Lubken Canyon Road (opposite Boulder Creek RV place). It's fairly narrow so go slowish, there's one short single-lane bit but several turnouts. DON'T take Roy Rogers or Whitney Portal with big rig - too twisty/few dips. But real nice road without rig attached if you do pop back into Lone Pine for ample food places and great $5 Film Museum. Quaint town and shops. No shade for rig, but, plenty of spots back onto or are near icy-cool Tuttle creek - so easy to cool down or sit chair-in the water & this mountain water is shaded. Shallow fast flow, clean, good for kids/dogs. Fire pits, picnic table, poles to keep trash (if tenting) hung high. Water spigots all around to fill (choose drinking or non-potable). Dump station and trash bins. Clean and well kept. Stunning Mountain vista (Mt Whitney) $8 per night ($4 senior pass) Some pull-thru but spacious other back-in spots. 2bar cell signal. Great Starlink signal.

Yes Bring your own water. 85% full
Had to tell......camp area is large....very clean, two different areas for RVS as well as several beautiful tent spaces spread about. There are several restrooms with vaulted toilets, also clean.......still no fires allowed last week
Yes but not at each camp site spot. Theres a fill up spot.
Yep
We love Tuttle Creek Campground. It's so peaceful and beautiful. The views are amazing and the campground host is so nice and helpful. ❤
We were there last weekend and there are small trout, maybe 4 inches. In a few of the bigger pools there were a few larger trout, maybe 6 inches.
Yes, there are corrals in the last loop. I don't have pictures.
I think there are faucets near road. $8 a night
No bear boxes but there is not a bear problem in the area. We've been going there for a few years and never had a problem.
Yes $5.00 dump fee. No credit cards
I just got back from there. The water wasn't turned on yet. The only water was at the dump station.
It will be ok. A bit bumpy so go slow, but is relatively flat. In rainy conditions it may be different, mud might get too deep.
Maybe by then but not now. FEB 26, 21
Yes, but no available water. Fee is $5.00/night
Yes there are about 80 sites I believe.
Just got back. Plenty of drinking water, ask host where it is because not all spigots are potable. Dump is working too
Was off week of 9/789/20 . Bring a lot of water, air is dry .
You be the judge
Yes, lots of dirt trails.
We were there over 4th of July and there were quite a few open spots. The choice spots along the creek were harder to get but there were a few.
Yes, the driveway is long enough to park two cars. The spot we had, #11 was big enough for two tents as well.
No, BLM campgrounds have a maximum length of stay. I think the longest you can stay at Tuttle Creek is two weeks. Check with the camp host.
First come first serve any questions Bishop Forest service office
Wild flowers dry rain (sprinkle) two days ago (DRY)
Usually its turned on March 1st That's when they have the early opener (Fishing) and they turn it off in October at the season closure. I'm not positive though, just going by what I've seen before?
I would assume you would need to camp to get a spot but I am not familiar with rules for special events.
Yes, you have to look for it though, most spigots are non-potable. The creek is very clean too. Easily filter
None of the public campgrounds will allow 2 months stay. However, you can make multiple reservations to cover your 2 months.
Water is available. Pit toilets are among the cleanest and most odor free you'll find. This is a gem of a camping spot. Wind can be strong.
No office other than the BLM Webb site. Open year round
We drank it, no chlorine, clear cold mountain well water. It is stored in a tank however and run through a surface pipe so stuff could grow in it. I would say if it comes out super cold tho your safe, that means it's being used enough to flush the tank, if it's warmer, maybe avoid drinking it.
