Usually its turned on March 1st That's when they have the early opener (Fishing) and they turn it off in October at the season closure. I'm not positive though, just going by what I've seen before?
Wasn't on over the weekend of the early opener. But was told it would be on soon. Best bet is to bring water with you. Or if you have an RV, you can get water at Portgy Joe's camp site before or during your trip. And it's drinking water.
