It's a nice space. π₯³ππ We camped there because we were in control of the Mosquito fire.

Lovely campground on a small lake. Just west of Tahoe so it does get chilly. Lots of windy roads to get there, but not too bad. Probably easier with smaller RVs, but I saw some larger ones around.

Exceptional campground. Clean restrooms. We will be back!

This campground is one of, if not the best national forest campground that I've ever been to. The weekend campers were a little more rowdy that we would've liked, but since we were camping there mostly during the weekdays during our week long trip, it was honestly one of the best experiences I've had at one of these campgrounds. The amenities and camp host were fantastic! The camp hosts were really accommodating and friendly. You simply can't beat how wonderful the sites were and the proximity to the lake. My father-in-law booked it because of past experiences with his grandfather, and I will be coming here with many more experiencea with my daughter!

36 was awesome!
Center ones are close to each other but campsites 73, 71, 69 and some more are more private but you ll have to walk more to reservoir.
There is actually a night Watchman and he is right as the first parking lot or spot that you come to as you get there and if you have any problems he will help you out usually your name is on there and the date you should be there on the campsite itself you are going to love it I promise
If you prefer a quieter, go to sleep early type of camping and don't want a long walk to the waters edge yes it is!
No but its always bettwr to have in the mountains like that...road is all paved
