I enjoyed the community and my neighbors. Didn’t have any issue with management or anything. Until there was a fire in April and my unit was affected and I could no longer live there. No call for days until I went to the office and did have to yell at the person there (for obvious reasons after having a fire). They couldn’t help me relocate or give me another unit and told me they were just going to have to terminate my lease. I have a baby boy so being told I have nowhere to go was incredibly stressful especially since this fire wasn’t because of another tenant or me, it was because of how old the buildings are and caused an electrical fire. I went in to terminate the lease, and per the lease agreement I signed im supposed to get back my security deposit as well as prorated rent. The fire was April 27th, I signed the lease termination in June. And I still am getting emails telling me I owe rent because they have not terminated my lease and of course haven’t sent my money back. I’ve sent an email, and have called the office a few times before finally getting someone and being told it was just taking a bit and they’re not sure why. That was maybe 1-2 months ago. This experience started off lovely, but went horrible as soon as the fire occurred. ********EDIT******* Email address that was provided to email was incorrect. It was for a completely different property however the manager was nice enough to forward my email to the correct one, yet even with that I still have not been contacted. I tried logging into my portal and it says invalid account so I'm hoping now the termination is being processed and I expect my check with the security deposit and prorated rent is being sent back to my correct address.

It was quite an experience living here. A lot of kind residents and a very live and let live energy here. The facilities are old and their age shows, but management did everything in their power to make sure I was taken care of! Destiny and Francisco were always friendly, responsive and easy to talk to. There are people who don't live at Valencia who insist on feeding the feral cats, they're terrible. Management did everything they could to get them to stop, but they don't care. Oh well. Outside of that Destiny and Francisco made sure my heat worked in the winter and my AC worked in the summer! I had a plumbing issue and within a couple days their team was in my unit cleaning my pipes out with a snake. The maintenance folks were always around the complex waving and saying hello. While Valencia isn't perfect, it was a fun place to live with a nice central location. I'll think fondly of my memories here.

I have only been here a few weeks but I have not seen anything crawling around anywhere! A couple of ants outside and that is it. Not even by the trash or swimming pool. Amazing! UPDATE: We have been here over a year now and still no roaches. I have only seen maybe 4 little ones in my kitchen. That's pretty good in a year's time! I have never seen any outside my place. Not have I ever seen a spider!
Some do, some don't. Some are privately owned in the same building as the valencia ones. Valencia won't spray the private one, so of you don't have bugs, you'll get theirs.
