Due to the loss of income during the pandemic I was fortunate as a veteran to qualify for transitional housing at Help Genesis a temporary veteran housing program funded by the government through the VA... The government per diem, plus 30% of your monthly income, An average veteran is afforded up to 1 year, but no more than 2 years to obtain viable employment and permanent housing, elsewhere of course... Renaissance Apartments also located on the property is permanent housing ,but of course there is a waiting list, but your time in the program does not automatically place you on the waiting list, nor does Renaissance Apartments have any obligation to place you on that waiting list for permanent housing... Hopefully for the sake my fellow veterans some changes will be made in the near future, so that the Help in the name could actually mean something!?!!

I've lived here so far for half of my signed lease. So far the only bad thing I've experienced is by way of other tenants acting like police. By that I mean when I do something I'm usually met with; Where you going?, What you doing? Plus I live at Genesis units, though Renaissance Apartments exists at this address but in another building.

Yes......I get SSDI
When I was there, they accepted you even of they did not have an income. However, they will be on you week by week to get housing, and an income to eventually sustain yourself. If you have an income, rent will be 1/3 of your income.
Yes they do. But you na need to cg contact the VA North East clinic first
This place is for Vets only. No regular tenants. The one on Main St. does accept women if they are married to a vetran.
Not sure. I was placed here by the V.A as a homeless veteran
You sign in everyday, be a decent tenant, meet case worker once a week, and find a permanent means to sustain yourself. Smoke outside. No curfew when I was there.
I think they do
The people I know there are on the veterans side of it and they gave 200. Each but I don't know if that's standard your best bet is to actually call them and ask.
