Positive: The staff was friendly. It was conveniently located. Negative: The room was okay. The linens were stained and dingy with some blood stains. No linens or pillows for the pull out, or enough towels for our party. The hot tub advertised was removed and the pool too cold to swim. $8 per night parking not disclosed.

Other than the price, there isn't anything to complain about. The service was great l. The front desk staff was amazing. All of the ladies were nice. The breakfast was great too.

The air wasn't working in our room, and we were just told "Sorry, maintenance left already." No offer to switch to another room, bring a fan, etc. The breakfast wasn't well stocked and we had to ask for forks, tongs, etc. Food was cold, coffee had tons of grounds in it. Hand sanitizer was empty and the front desk staff didn't have any or offer to refill. Nice size room, fairly clean, but this hotel is short-staffed and staff that are working don't seem to care.
Dad that cooks
The location of this hotel is the only benefit. The door knob in our room was falling off. The toilet seat was falling off. The shower rod was hanging down so the shower curtain wouldn't stay drawn. The spa pool is "permanently closed". The "heated" pool is NOT heated and was quite frigid. Both are still advertised as working. The phones in our room did not work to call the front desk. We went to the front desk to ask for a couple additional towels and were told that they did not have any extra towels. There was one person running the breakfast, at least it appeared that way, and he did great with what he had but it takes more than just one person. He was cooking, filling buffet dishes, cleaning and even vacuuming. He did great but clearly he needed help. The front desk staff was also very nice and helpful, however, for the money we paid, and our expectations of Marriott, this was incredibly disappointing!

I would say the hotel is located in the odu. It is just cross hampton street. Check the map and you will know how close it is.
Only.service animals as defined by the ADA. The residence inn downtown is the next closest marriott property and they do allow pets for a fee
On Ground floor of Hotel Sports Bar, on Campus ODU have Cafeteria eating at Webb Center
Late check in was not a problem (I checked in around 5:00 PM). Check out is 11:00
