Extremely outdated hotel. Disgusting AC filters and interior. Non working AC unit. Very loud elevator. Lots of damages to the facility, walls, carpet, and such. Sheets and pillows are old and overused. The room and restroom are so old, they actually look dirty. No AC for 3 nights. Asked for 2 days to move to another room. They finally did on my last night. Very disappointed of the Hilton on this experience.

Having stayed here for 4 months straight, I I feel I got the full experience & somewhat obligated to leave a review. Firstly, Robert at the front desk is truly awesome, reliable, and consistently competent in every way possible. The bar and restaurant downstairs is great, Lance is a great bartender. The overall environment is awesome, friendly, and helpful. Even the constantly changing Room Service cleaning crew were always friendly and more importantly 100% professional. The gym was always clean and stocked with ice cold water bottles. The only thing that comes to mind regarding room for improvement would be the regular front desk staff in the middle of the night having consistent communication issues with the Room Service cleaning crew (3 different consecutive times in a row I asked very early in the morning to put me down for room service for the day and it didn’t get done). Also, during check out at 3am this morning, I was informed no one knew where any of the luggage carts were and I would have to carry all 7 suitcases down to the first floor by myself. With that said, the man on staff this morning then helped me out by setting me up with the complimentary shuttle directly to the airport instead of paying for an overpriced Uber, which was very cool of him. The shuttle driver was awesome too and definitely made up for any time lost earlier hauling luggage. But aside from the check out, I could not recommend staying here enough.

Stayed at the Norfolk Doubletree twice within a week and it was great stay. Claudia at the front desk was absolutely great. So sweet and funny both times I arrived. She deserves a raise by the way. Lance, the bartender at Flight 1500, was excellent. Does a great job and on point with the conversation. The hotel does need some updates which is why I gave it a 4 star rating instead of 5 but that won’t deter me from coming back, which I will.

I had to wait over three hours to get my room. My check in time was 4:30, and when we left at 7:15 to attend a dinner cruise, it was still not available. Not only that, but from the group I was attending with, their rooms and the lobby smelled of smoke strongly. This completely threw off all of our evening plans and the lack of professionalism present in the establishment still baffles me. I will never be staying in this type of hotel ever again, lest this one. Do not waste your money.
