Loved it. Tucked away inside the Suffolk Cultural Center, it's not easy to find but worth the effort. Had fried shrimp and fried flounder and both were great. Prices were reasonable and services great. They serve a great breakfast as well.

1st time here, it is INSIDE of the Suffolk Center of Cultural Arts and there are NO signs outside. Once we found it we were immediately and warmly greeted and seated. The waitress was very nice. Large selection on the menu. We had to wait awhile for the food. I had fried green tomatoes which were delicious and came with more than I expected, hubby had shrimp which he ate all of and said were good. He got pulled pork and sides for his meal and said everything was good. I got the cold chicken salad plate and was disappointed. The eggs were boiled instead of deviled, and the chicken salad was very plain. Came with a lot of garnishments but not enough to eat with the chicken salad. I asked for some crackers to go with it but she never brought them so I stole hubby's toast and made it work. Sides were ok, sweet potato fries weren't that good. We didn't see nor were offered dessert. $60 for 2 people for lunch. Not a new fav, but I would try again I'd like to try the crabcakes.

New location inside the Suffolk Arts building is practically invisible from the parking lot BUT if you go through the white arches you can't miss it! The Cafe features a full menu (we went for a birthday brunch) the food was made to order and we dined in. It was a real treat and the our server did a great job to boot. The arts center is pretty amazing that they restored the building to maintain that 'old school building' vibe!

It was definitely not easy to find the location because on Google maps it shows a different photo. But if it’s your first time going there just go through the alley and the white beams and the restaurant will be in your left side. The food was definitely delicious and worth our driving around time ✌🏼 we went for breakfast and ended up with a table, because this placed gets packed. So make sure to make a reservation!

No, i doubt they are open for breakfast they stop serving breakfast around 10:30. I tried calling and no one was answering the phone.
Mask are used when not eating
I would give them a call and tell them what you're looking to do to obtain the email.
2019, I believe. They opened up a new restaurant, The Mod Olive, on Main st. Plaid Turnip is still awesome at their new location!
