Yes, the bookstore (Kinokuniya) inside sells manga, anime figurines & merch (especially lots of Studio Ghibli stuff). In the candy aisle of the grocery store they also sometimes sell anime themed candies with prizes/small figures inside.

The bookstore is merely a distributor so the books and manga will all be priced the same as any other bookstore. Although the selection is much larger, and has multiple translations, which is a big advantage over most other shops.

This is a Japanese run company. They are oblige to follow all local laws in the state. It is a very popular grocery store in Arlington Heights(I lived & wrk there for 5 years). When I went2 Mitsuwa I moved quickly thru-out the store.

No, its a grocery store. The mini restaurants are like little stand shops, and the anime bookstore is too small for curbside and there's a limit of ppl who can be in the bookstore at a time, so get there early bc the line gets LOOOOOOOOOOOONG.

Yes they do. Good selection. There is a fabulous food court there with an extensive selection of fresh tasty food.

They have a decent selection of high grade, master grade, SD, real grade, and a few perfect grades. Also, a display of assembled models so you can see the detail/size of the different grades. The display gets updated every so often, so you can see different models.

I forgot to look at the hours, but I left about an hour before the market close and they are still open. It would say about 2-3 hours is when I saw their bakery and pastry start to sell out to little less than half left on display

I've heard that multiple times through the years, but if you go any time during the week you will see that they are always busy busy busy. I doubt they're closing. Plus they're doing some remodeling at this time.

Not certain about fresh blue crab "sushi" because I've personally never seen it prepared in store for purchase. The staff are extremely helpful and during your next visit, inquire about it. They may prepare it randomly (specials or promotions) when and if they do have them in (large shipments).
