We were there using the conference area for a high school reunion. The new look of UP is cool. Bathrooms clean .. convention area clean. Parking is great. I wish UP could be what it once was though. You can't beat the location..plenty of parking for big events but it seems management only wants UP to remain mediocre. The food was absolutely terrible. The only thing good was the gooey cake. Whoever owns UP should upgrade the quality big time! Maybe put in a chic new locally owned restaurant and get the word out. It's so close to the college that labor force shouldn't be an issue. I hear the rooms are not in good shape so get smart management!! You have a goldmine here. It used to be a happening place! Maybe look towards the older population to draw into a cool restaurant with a jazz band or blues band. Idk. Something needs to change or say goodbye to a long standing hotel and conference center.

Do not let this lobby fool you. They have a good looking lobby with a bar in it, but the costumer service and rooms are terrible. The staff make you feel like you’re interrupting their day if you ask for anything at all. The rooms are dirty, old, and the air conditioning does not work well at all. We moved rooms our first night because the room was so hot. The room they moved us to was just as bad. On top of that we found old fast food trash under our couch and the carpet is covered in stains. The toilet isn’t attached to the floor and the shower head isn’t attached to the wall. I’ve had to stay here for work in the past and it was exactly the same. Please do yourself a favor and do not stay here!

Honestly if the conference wasn't held here, I would never book here. Rooms are decent size but nothing feels clean. The rooms are also hot because the AC sucks and is just one tiny vent at the top of the wall. You can tell they don't wash the comforters. There were a few stains and they just felt old and dirty. You only get 3 pillows per bed so if there's more than one person per bed have fun with that. Oh and yeah No fridge or microwave whatsoever. So forget bringing back leftovers. Also the outdoor pool has so much leaves and dirt built up along the sides it just felt gross. Oh and to top matters off we found one plug in behind the TV and two more in one outlet if you unplug one of the lamps. And they arent nice laps with the built in plug ins or anything so no luck there. Would not recommend at all.

Mary Kay ladies stayed here for convention. They had classroom space available for our very large group, and it was located across from the Expo Center where the main event was located. The restaurant had a great breakfast bar, and did a great job keeping up with the demands of hundreds of women! The rooms were nice, clean. I was especially grateful for the shuttle because some in our group were disabled and couldn't walk back and forth from the Expo Center. I didn't like waiting for 30 minutes or more in line to use the only 2 elevators in the hotel, but I'm told that's mostly due to the high number of ladies arriving/leaving all at the same time. Overall, it was a great place to rest and refresh while being in a fun but exhausting event!
