This Farmers Market is always a hoot. You can just come for the party, or you can come to shop from the farmers bounties. Two blocks of this stretch of higuera st are packed with a diverse lot of farmers and bakers. I can get all my fruit, veggies and bread for the week. The other half of the market has vendors of all sorts, including plenty of freshly cooked hot food plus pies, donuts, you name it. And then the entertainment - there's always 2 or 3 bands playing, some of us dancing in the street, and maybe a juggler or a fire dancer or some other surprise.

Great place to go and lots of vendors, my first time there and was very impressed.

A friendly atmosphere with food, shopping and a Mission - all within walking distance. Great times!

Music and entertainment varies from block to block. Week to week... Some bands, indivdual instruments vocalists, coral choir, interpretive dance a few weeks ago..
Yes! The market will be running as usual from 6-9 pm with great food, live music, and fun activities for the kids! We have a bounce house, virtual reality ride, balloons, and a special event they can participate in to win prizes! More info : www.DowntownSLO.com/farmers
It is! We are operating in a limited format at first until COVID-19 regulations are lifted or modified. More information at https://downtownslo.com/events/farmers-market . The market runs every Thursday 6-9PM on Higuera Street unless rain or a major holiday.
We will be opening up on May 6th in a modified format at first. More info at https://downtownslo.com/events/farmers-market
Hi Sarah! Unfortunately, due to California Health Code Laws, only service animals are allowed within the Market. All other animals must remain at home or on the sidewalk. Thanks!
No because it's raining
Yes it is. For the most up to date information please check our website at downtownslo.com or on our Facebook or instagram @downtownslo
Most vendors accept cash or credit. Some only accept cash. There is an ATM at the corner of Garden Street and Higuera. Snap/EBT is accepted within the certified farmers' section of our Market for fresh produce and other eligible items. To obtain, snap/ebt, you can visit the information booth at the corner of Chorro street and Higuera street.
In addition to meter street parking and the structures there is unmetered parking in the surrounding areas near houses. During farmers market the meters are not running.
No. It is against California health code to bring animals that are not service animals into the farmers market.
Yes I would think so as long as they have their service vest on.
The farmers market is divided into 2 sections. And on one side yes, our furry friends are allowed. On the other side no. Look for signs. They will direct you to which side is which
The downtown association makes a decision at 3:00 pm.
Fresh produce, some organic, they have Olive oils, different hummus samples to try, prepared food for any taste, and bbq. Tri tip is great. It's definitely worth going. There's usually music and other stuff going on too.
