Great apartment community with excellent amenities and helpful staff. The gym is well equipped, and the poolside grills are very convenient. Gated, private on site parking is also a plus. Cindy and Shaquil are both awesome and are responsive to residents' needs; they also organize and host plenty of community events throughout the year. In my experience, maintenance has been quick to respond to issues. Overall, I would highly recommend the Carlton to anyone planning to live in or near Chesapeake.

We've been here since this January on a travel contract for my job. I'll be leaving in June, as my work contract is up, but I would definitely continue staying at The Carlton if I were to continue to work in the area. Shaquil and Cindy in the front office have been very welcoming and helpful. The maintenance staff has been responsive to any needs. The complex is situated in a great area close to plenty of shopping. Overall I would highly recommend considering The Carlton if you're looking for a place to rent in the Greenbrier area!

Moved from Florida to here on a short notice with no experience in the area. The Carlton is a beautiful complex with amazing amenities such as their pool, gated community, dog park, friendly neighbors, and events hosted at minimum monthly. Very friendly with outstanding staff. Placed conveniently and within walking distance to a mall, shopping centers, and restaurants. The Carlton will be a place I would recommend to anybody regardless if they are single, a family, or military transferring to the area.

Love this apartment! We moved here July of 2021 and unfortunately we had to leave due to my husband having orders to go to Texas. Here are the things I like about this apartment: Service- Like everyone else are saying, Cindy and Shaquil are the best. Probably the nicest people we encountered specially Cindy. They make you feel like a part of the family/community. They always answer any questions you have or help in any need. They have monthly events (I love their giveaways) and they are always there to serve. Maintenance- Base on my experience, they are always on top of it, I had a wasp problem in the balcony and they took care of it ASAP. Amnemities- The office itself /club house is grand looking and their swimming pool is beautiful architectural. We did took advanced of it during summer time. The gym is clean and alot of equipment but I only went once because I was lazy. They have a small playground that my lil kids likes going to at times. I love the trash fairies, it was so convenient. Con- My only complain here is probably the parking space. Sometimes we have to walk very far because there's no parking available. Maybe in the future they can change that? By assigning parking spaces instead? Overall- other than that I love everything about this apartment. The interior inside, the high ceilings and tall cabinetry. It feels more like a home rather than apartment. Spacious closets, bathrooms and bedrooms. I love how it is gated and feel safe. I love the landscape and the trees. The building are neat and clean. I feel like they clean it almost every other day and it smells good. Also I don't know if we got lucky but our balcony view was amazing. We were able to see sunset views every evening (we were at the Mitchum building) facing the Greenbrier Mall. Overall, I would stay here again if we were in Virginia again.
