good day trip , you get to see alot of the buildings and its a nice outside event. you don't need to get the tour its easy to go on your own experience and see what you want to.

You can certainly enoy the grunds from dawn to dusk, although you'll want to park outside the gates if you wish to remain after 5:00. As a state historic site we do not allow any metal detecting on the property.
