I finally was accepted for Family Promise in February of 2020, I had a blood clot in my lung in this hospitalized they try to get my spot away, then covid hit and we were quarantined to One Church. I moved into my own place in June 2020. I was in a car accident August 2019 in a wheelchair and homeless. So they had promised to help us for 2 years and make sure we were good we go in for our team meetings and things like that about September of 2020 they shut down the director there Wendy had make them go under. They had promised to make help with Christmas and everything else they didn't even contact anybody to let us know that they were no longer going to assist us. I had lost my job in December and I had gotten a hold of one of the big people up front Family Promise they assisted me with rent and assisted some of Christmas it was Kayla that worked in Ogden at the time that actually helped me get on housing through independent living center ,and SSDI. So that is a good program because I do drug tests and things like that and the church is chip in and they feed you and stuff I think that they should at least have contacted the families that they were supposed to be there for and let them know that there's no longer that resource. I was in a new place still and what was given no notice that it was happening.

Jesus said in the Bible in John Chapter 12 verse 8, that there will always be poor people among us. What exactly did you hear of what he promised? Because he always provides for us if we listen to him and obey him
Hey i stayed their you just gotta go their and apply and wait until they call you to move your stuff their i waited 3 months
I'm currently at family promise and there is an opening. Go in the office Monday and apply. Way cleaner and safer than the road home...
You work with a case manager who helps explore options available, they can assist in filling out paperwork including for section 8, but they do not run these housing programs, the cities, counties and state do. They also work with housing programs available in the private sector where available. Go see Family Promise, they may have options you have never thought of!
They are there to help. Give them a call.
We do not have any open apartments. I recommend that they go to the Volunteers of America there on 900 South and 400 West.... Thank you for checking
I believe the midvale shelter does though, I know there are a few different places that do but I don't know how it works though, you'll just have to call around. Good luck🙂
No. And no, sorry. This is for adults with at least one child under 18. There is a waiting list of 8-12 weeks to enter program.
We can accept donations to add to our food pantry as long as the expiration date is at least one year out. You can bring them to the Family Promise Salt Lake Day Center Monday thru Friday 10 am to 4pm. Thank you!
No, it is not a shelter. But, if you have a child under 18. Sign up. After a small waiting list period. You are well taken care of by these people.
Call family Promise. Maybe they will help you. God bless you
Yes, if you really need it then they will.
Thanks for good input haiku Wilcox. Its really does sound like a great place for faimlies to get help. Thanks again !
Not sure, that is something you would actually have to go in and ask about. They're all very helpful and I believe Brikel is who you'll need to talk to
Go in, after they open and talk to someone its the best thing you can do right now. Hope things get better.
Yes it is for families and they are very nice people they will do anything to help
No not usually from my understanding , but the road home my do this when the shelter is overly full
Single parents but it has to be where both you and your child/children are 100% homeless together.
Family promise can help. Please call them right away.
