So much to do! A family favorite, for sure!

So many things for kids to explore and burn their energy.

Great place for family bonding.

Went today with the kids to check out the new Daniel Tiger traveling exhibit. It was pretty cool, and had several activities that focused on themes from the show. The other areas got very crowded around 11am, since there were some different schools visiting for a field trip. Note for future visits: no field trips are allowed on Mondays, so that might be a less crowded day to visit.

There are several actually. There's a splash pool for babies in Water Works, a farm for babies and smaller kids in Kidopolis, and a large area in Rainforest designated for smaller kids. There are also large sand boxes out in the Discovery Garden, as well as fish in the pond, and other fun nature scenery. You'll have a great time!
Hi Annie! Guests need to be at least 6 years old to participate in the ropes course - and it's definitely suited for teens or adults!
Hi AJ! Adult Admission is $20, Youth Admission (ages 13-24) $17, Child Admission (ages 3-12) $15, Seniors (65+): $17, and Children ages 2 and under are free, or free with a Thanksgiving Point membership.
Hi Vincent! The Museum of Curiosity does have many sections that are geared towards children - however young adults would definitely have a great time on our Canopy Tours high ropes course!
Hi Marilyn! We recommend getting tickets ahead of time, either online or over the phone (801.768.2300) but some tickets may be available at the door.
Hi there! Not right now, sorry! Hopefully someday you can make it out here!
They have an elevator. However, I don't think they will be able to participate in all of the activities. But for sure a few of them!
In the infant area there are padded cushion tops on the surrounding "wall". If your kid can sleep through the noise then yeah you may be able to. I guess it depends on exactly how you're sleeping. Little one on you/in your arms? Probably not going to be comfortable enough. Little one lays down in the cushion and you keep a watchful close eye/within arms reach? Maybe. You could also bring a picnic blanket and nap outside in the large grass area near the parking lot if you can find shade.
There is A LOT of experiences to engage in there and that translates into A LOT of expenses to run it. We figured it was the same cost as going to a aquarium, or, about the same as going to the movies and buying treats.
Adult tickets cost $ 20, children from 3 to 12 cost $ 15. Children under 2 years old are free. Adults over 65 cost $ 15.
The Museum of Natural Curiosity does have an outdoor area that’s open during spring, summer, and fall, but there’s the entire rest of the Museum is open year-round!
Hours are: Sunday Closed Monday 10AM–8PM Tuesday 10AM–8PM Wednesday 10AM–8PM Thursday 10AM–8PM Friday 10AM–8PM Saturday 10AM–8PM
I believe they do, and I know they like field trips to call beforehand so they can make any needed preparations too. UPDATE! They do offer special rates for school trips, sometimes it can be as low as 5 dollars a child depending on group size. You do need to meet certain children-to-chaperone ratios to enter the museum, those ratios vary by age. Give them a call and they can sort it out for you!
They only have lockers for the ropes course. But there are coat hangers by the discovery garden.
Yes there is a gift shop but I kind of steer the grandkids away from it we just enjoy a good time when we travel or go to places like that they get their squash pennies and that's their souvenir and they loved it and they have little books they put them in so they get pic with each exhibit different pennies that they want makes it for a nice Keepsake more permanent than a lot of stuff that you buy
It was still open the last time I was there, a few weeks ago. I haven't heard any plans of closing it. It does cost extra to do the high ropes course though. Please be aware of that before you go.
If you look at the website you see it's $10 per person.
$15 for adults, $12 for kids 3-17, 2 and under free. If you go with a member they can get you 50% off
It's probably best to contact Museum directly rather than posting on a community page that they may or may not monitor.
