Definitely recommend making the reservations online and signing the waivers ahead of time. This allowed us to skip the line and get to the water faster. They supply a rope tie for one tube to the cooler tube. If you wish to tether together as a group you have to purchase your own rope. PFD’s are available for all sizes. We took the 2.5hr trip and enjoyed it the exit dock was cleared located.

Had a super fun time! We took tubes down the 2.5 hour float and we had a very nice relaxing time. The cooler tube was definitely worth it as it did get a bit toasty and it was nice to have the drinks that we brought along stay cool. We started at 11 and ended roughly around 2 since the river was flowing a bit slower than usual. We saw lots of turtles and a couple of herons, but we were told that if you come out even earlier you see even more wildlife.

If you don't already have your own, this is a great place for ease of renting a tube (or canoe) to float down the Muskegon River. They're already inflated so all you need to do is show up. They will also bring you back up river as part of the price of the rental. Great place for a great time.

I have been going to Wisners since I was young and now take my children. One of the things that I love about them is how much their staff seems to love their job. You can’t say that much anymore. I had a hiccup with equipment (mostly my fault due to lack of preparation on my part). What I appreciated about the staff and the owner is that they LISTENED to me. Every business will have something go wrong, for me it is all about how you handle it. The customer service was second to none. Rachel bent over backwards to make everything right. And even let me borrow her own personal cooler and paddle. Small town caring about your neighbor type of place. Can be very busy on weekends, so I expected to wait a bit. Couldn’t believe how seamless Rachel’s crew made it all. There is no better place to go for a day on the river.

Yes, no glass bottles and no Styrofoam coolers and if you have a friend that turns into an idiot when they drink alcohol, leave them home too :)
Rivers are potentially, and inherently dangerous. Not knowing the nature of the disabilities, it's impossible to say. It can be dangerous for people without disabilities.
It was open Sunday.
Actually, no we don’t. Our regular tubes do not have bottoms in them but are nice, large vinyl tubes with handles and cup holders. If you want something with a bottom, you should try our rafts - they are inflatable boats and come in two, three or four person.
Yes. There are a few ways to do this depending on how many kayaks you have which would be the best price. You can put your stuff on our vehicles for 18 per person (we pay per person we put through the park) or if you can fit a driver in your vehicle they can ride up with you drive your vehicle back for total of 25.
True, no rapids. It does however get choppy in some areas and you must keep an eye out where you are on the river. All and all, its absolutely worth it.
I just added a new photo of a map with the launches.
More like 6 right now and caution- this is canoe or kayak, NOT tubes... double times for floating vs paddling
18 each on weekends includes tube rental, transportation and life jacket if you need it. 4.5 hour or 2.5 hour. Weekends you need reservations. During the week you can walk in but last departure all days is 4pm. Single kayak $30 same trips and need reservations on weekends. See website for further info!
No rapids, good for groups to chat and enjoy scenery and those with limited experience, but who know how to steer a vessel. It's a wide river, that gets a little shallow in spots. Rowing or paddling IS necessary to steer the vessel around other people, to go around shallower areas or away from the riverbanks. (We went with a group of 8 kayakers the weekend of July 4th. Only my husband and I were very experienced, the others had been kayaking very little on lakes or had never kayaked before, so we gave them a few minutes of basic steering instructions. Over a 3 hr trip, we had 2 times when people were kayaking side by side and distracted by talking did someone get caught because they didn't have enough time for both people to steer away in time (once by "bottoming out" on a shallow spot and another got held up in a little brush at the river's edge).
We called the same day and was able to reserve equipment but my group was only four of there is more I'd make reservations at least 2-3 days before
Until November 1st. But after September, it is good to have reservations because we are in and out.
