Is this white water canoeing, or still water? I'd like something fun, and fast moving, not paddling along boring.

True, no rapids. It does however get choppy in some areas and you must keep an eye out where you are on the river. All and all, its absolutely worth it.

No white water, but some rapids and there is always a current. More of a family river / beginner. You are probably looking for Pere Marquette or Pine

Its not white water but it is on the Muskegon River, which is fairly fast your not on still water for sure. I went from Thornapple back to wisners and it took about 2.5 hours. But i was only paddling to stay in the middle. Its a nice float.
