I have always received wonderful service here, and my pets received excellent care. What inspired me to write this review was my experience today, 9/17/22. I had taken my girl, Lucy, in for something I was very concerned about. She had been in a couple of days prior and received excellent care by Dr. Autumn Tatro, and this was a follow-up for further examination. I was able to get in quickly for a Saturday, and Lucy's exam was very thorough. Dr. Tatro took a lot of time to discuss her findings, go over x-rays, and explain in detail, the situation. The news was not all good, and I took it hard and was visibly shaken. Dr. Tatro was very understanding and sympathetic to what I was feeling and took extra time with me. I left feeling worried about Lucy's condition and prepared for a long couple of days. Later in the evening, my phone rang while I was working and I could not answer. I called the number back and it was Dr. Tatro. She had called, having seeing how hard I had taken the news, and wanted to explain in more detail Lucy's condition and options. She took a lot of her personal time explaining all of my concerns. She was wonderful in putting my mind at ease with a plan for moving forward and explaining everything was not necessarily bad news. Thanks to Dr. Tatro, I felt much better and have a more optimistic outlook on Lucy's treatment plan. It really feels like a huge burden had been lifted, although I know things will have to be dealt with eventually, but not having to think my world and little girl was coming down around me at one time. I have never received the kind of attention and professional care with any vet. Other vets at that office who treated my other dogs were likewise very detailed and professional. I always feel like I've been thoroughly briefed and provided the needed information to make proper decisions for my pets. Dr. Tatro taking time this evening, and being aware of my difficulty handling possibly bad news about Lucy, means more to me than I can say. I am a worrier and somewhat pessimistic, and my dogs mean the world to me. Dr. Tatro not only provided excellent care for Lucy, she gave me the thing I needed most at this time, and that's peace of mind. Thanks to the crew at Davis Pet Hospital, particularly Dr. Tatro, for everything. You have my loyalty as a client. I cannot recommend Davis Pet Hospital enough. Today was rough, and you took time with empathy to help, not only Lucy, but me as well. That means a lot.
