The park needs more water hydrants but beter yet water at each camp spot. More 50 amp services a lot more. The camp Host was Great!

We enjoyed the woodsy atmosphere. the park was packed , and we watched the different groups having a blast. The kids , the electric bike gang, and the little bit of wildlife we saw made our trip worth the drive for us.

No waterfront sites but the beach there is incredible!
Yes it was open on the 6th of May..just the trees around the trails near camp area are being cut down...but people were still riding and camping
Except for the horse camp. I guess they think horse people dont bathe.... 😂
The beach is huge and was very nice and clean when we were there in September 2017.

The small cabin at wolf creek is 40$ a night on the weekends. Idk about the bigger ones
Oh boy is it fun finding a spot when it's full in there!! The best thing I could find was here 😂 https://www.alltrails.com/explore/us/illinois/windsor?mobileMap=true&ar[]=10116670. It shows a trail head but you can see the campsite and the roads. There is a double road (one way each) entrance. You would turn right for the reserved spots and left for the first come first serve. Good luck!

Reserve American makes the reservations. The Stables are closed up, No horses available for riding. Only 5 sites have electric every other equestrian site is primitive camping. There is day parking available. There is only one electric handicap available with placard or licensed plate.
I have never seen any snakes there at all. But, to be fair, I wasn't looking for any.🐍🐍🐍
