Beautiful cemetery and tomb. If you visited Lincoln’s home, here is a perfect choice to visit afterwards.

A book was written titled "Lincoln Lore" in it a private letter from Robert's wife said he deserved his time in the sun and had merited it. So she had him buried at Arlington as he had been a Captain under General Grant. He also was a Secretary of War.

On April 21, 1865, a train carrying the coffin of assassinated President Abraham Lincoln leaves Washington, D.C. on its way to Springfield, Illinois, where he would be buried on May 4. In 1876 attempted theft of his body for ransom, prompted a move of his coffin. 1878 he was moved again. The location of Lincoln's coffin has been moved about 17 times and the coffin opened 5 times, since his assassination.
