Was overall a nice campground. We stayed in Site F, which is the further Hike-In site. It was about a 1 mile walk and was fairly secluded. The site was clean, included a picnic table, fire put and posts to hang two hammocks. We bought wood from the campground office and after caring it about half way, a ranger did help haul it the rest of the way in their mule.

Drove around the park. Campground is open. Lots of mobile home spots. Tent camping g is separate. Picnic table and fire pit at site. Showers, water, septic dump.

The campground was nice. Mostly in the area with trees. The campground is far from lake and you have to walk through a parking lot to get tot lake - I didn’t like this much. Beach was fairly small but ok.

This campground was great. Beach was a walk, but easy to get to and so clean. They also have a dog beach with tons of picnic tables between the two to set up. Bathrooms were cleaned and maintained and so we're the sites. Just about every single sit they offer has privacy which is a bonus, too!

Yes there are shared trails for horses
Not only is there camping but a beach, and you can even rent kayaks or a canoe. You might also enjoy bring your dog for a swim at the separate 'dog beach.' Lots of nice well groomed trails to hike as well.
I believe it's $5 a bundle
Yes, off to the right they have a small beach spot for dogs to swim at!
By the time you get there, your ready for a cool dip. By the time you walk back, you need to cool down in the shower. Drive to the beach.
There is a beach and dock along with picnic tables and restrooms
No
michigan law says one needs to be present on all flotation crafts.. i carry min with me but do not wear it.
To the west of the normal beach in the day use area.

There are a few different sizes of lots, from real small to larger lots.
Not on any of the trails. If it has a plate you will likely be allowed on the main paved roads but that's probably not the kind of riding you are looking for.
Yes there are water front sites . A couple cabins ,and a few primitive walk in sites as well.
Yes 30 amp service and they have dump station for grey water and black water
This is a MI State Park. They typically DO NOT have full hook ups. Typically electricity at site but may need an extension cord. No in-site city water hook up or in-site sewer. Water spigots located throughout campground and dump station near the entrance/exit.
There are some hike in spots that are good, and a group site if you have a group. Other than that it's typical cement pad next to cement pad, however, I will say they are better spaced and wooded than some.
Yes to large rv and only electric
No there is no laundry facilities.
We brought one but they have a lot there already
Yes. It's open all year now. Water is great
Yes, but any bucks are only to be harvested by me. Laws regarding hunting here can be found on the dnr website. There is quite a bit of hunting pressure during firearm season and I've had people come sit within 50 yards of me on more than one occasion. They do have a few hunting blinds you can use. They are for handicapped hunters but if not occupied you are free to use.
Yes, follow the normal state regulations you'll be fine.
A few times a year, yes on special events. But generally no.
The first time I visited the park..on a drive through..I saw a black bear cub..right near the entrance..bout Five years ago
Was there last week. Water was warm.
No. Electric only just like most of the state parks in michigan
No.
For what? The have power hook ups...water...what do you need? For boats? I've seen both.
I would remove it I have seen some beached but it's a long ways to campsite
Yes
No. The DNR and the friends of Sleepy Hollow have said that you may not drive anything on the lake in the winter
Sleepy Hallow dose have water hookups and electricty. Im not sure about the price.
Fishing is ok. A few years ago most low depth lakes in Michigan, like Lake Ovid, froze solid. This killed off alot of big fish. I did see a few 13-15 inch largemouth bass get pulled in last weekend from the shore near the public beach and the fishing pier by the campground. My family and I caught a lot of small bluegill and sunfish. Good luck!
Yes
No, there are no full hookup sites. There is power at all sites. You must reserve a site that matches your requirements ie.. 30 amp 50 amp or standard outlet. There is a fresh water/sanitation station you can use before and after camping. The only full hookup site is reserved for the Campground Host on site 43.
30 amp service only. Four sites share one power pole
I've actually attended stargazing parties there contact the DNR Park Authority and find out on their website what their stargazing schedule is... The park by the beach is really dark at night, I would imagine they only open up at night for special events like the stargazing
Its going to cost you$16..... Once you pay that..... you will have the ability to visit All State Parks.... which is crazy, cuz you could of just payed the$11 or $12 when you go and re-new your plates at SOS... And thats a sticker that you would place on your plate... I do believe
Reserve NOW
Yes
Cell reception is okay near the campground area with Verizon network. Other areas it's spotty.
If you wouldn't trust fountain water for humans, then it shouldn't be good for our furr babies either.
Pretty busy, often booked up. There are often many cancellations, though so I would try calling their reservation number once a day to check if you're really committed to staying there. It's often best to reserve a site at least 2 weeks ahead though.
You can look them up on line and it will show whats open.
No maps at every tee off, not good for newbys at that course. Cement tee offs are a perk but maps make the course. This is a state park correct?
There is electric, but it is shared with other campsites. Bring a long extension cord. Water stations are available in different spots throughout the campground.
Sleepy hollow is great. So many reasons. Try it you'll like it !
Yes, dogs are allowed. Make sure you bring a leash and bags for the droppings
"Invasive insects and diseases have killed MILLIONS OF TREES in Michigan–often after hitching a ride on firewood. Please don’t transport firewood! At most campgrounds, it can be purchased on the premises or from nearby vendors who sell USDA-certified firewood. If certified firewood is not available, purchase your firewood as close as possible to where you will burn it. If you purchased wood and don’t use it all, remember–don’t transport it or take it home with you. "
Call the Park office and ask them they're still there at this time of year
I don't know for sure when sleepy hollow's is but if you go to Michigan State Parks list all the state parks trick or treat dates
$24 a night
They have power but no showers. There are showers in the bathhouse.
Last I Checked, it's $20.00
They do have a dog beach off to the right side when you come up to the lake. A nice separate area from the public beach.
Yes, they are. But, for safety reasons, not near the camping area.
