On Saturday Sept 24th, 2022, I watched as a woman was bullied by a volunteer about her service animal. A man named, Tim Bebout, approached her and said her dog might make other passengers uncomfortable. She explained he was a service animal and had been properly checked-in already by another volunteer. Tim then demanded that she 'prove' it, and said she had to produce documentation (which she does not have to do under ADA regulations). Under great duress, she left and did not take the tour. Tim is a menace to the ADA community and should not be allowed to work with the public; he also puts this business at risk for legal action. The tour itself was so-so. There are better ways to spend your time in Nashville.

The experience was amazing.... I would recommend it to everyone.... I will be doing it again

They need help cleaning up this area , it's a missed opertunite to really teach about trains . Love that they had people to guide you to park.

This organization is run strictly by volunteers. A great time, like stepping back in history. Book or contribute to their organization!

There is a nice HO layout at the museum. The excursions run between the platform at the museum to Monterey up on the Cumberland plateau for the furthest trip. The most common excursion is a shorter ride to Watertown and back. The layover in Watertown is wonderful, the town participates and there are nice restaurants and shops that look forward to the scheduled excursions.
The museum is free but excursion tickets cost anywhere from 35$ - 150$
It would depend on if they like being on a train and which excursion you take
You will be parking at the building next to the museum. There will be parking attendants there to help and answer any questions.
Go to Tennessee Central Railway, Excursion Train. You can see the map for the full calendar is dates.
Anywhere public is allowed access is all paved, but there is a fare amount of walking I’d recommend a stroller!! Hope to see you soon
Go to the website. Doesn't look like they have a train ride for January but will for February. http://www.tcry.org/
Dome is top of car w great view n a higher price coach is $89 n prices go up to $289 I think
Not sure but you might find Waldo
Yes! If you don't get Dome seating you will only see trees and not even the sky.
Sorry Michale but there is No Smoking on the train.
Arrival time back in Nashville will be approximately 4:00 PM.
Boarding starts at 11:00 AM with departure at 12:00 noon sharp for the trip. Arrival time back in Nashville will be approximately 4:30 PM. This is a round trip with no stops or layovers
We had those seats in that car today. They are side by side and 15 &16 are facing 13 & 14. We had a great time
Multiple restrooms are available on the train during the excursions. Bathrooms in the museums building are currently closed after the building suffered from storm damage earlier in the year.
Currently the Fall Foliage trip is scheduled to run to Carthage Junction Tennessee.
You're going to love it. The staff are incredible. The train is fun and you get to meet a lot of new people.
Yes we will run in the snow
We are not running a “dinner train” but we do have a Valentine’s Day themed trip on the 13th which features Grand Ole Opry star Buddy Jewel preforming on the train and a lay over in Watertown Tennessee where you will be able to enjoy lunch at one of the many local restaurants.
This is the North Pole Express, NOT the Polar Express. Polar Express is a different company, different experience. Tennessee Central NPE is a basic four hour round trip excursion, with a two hour stop in Watertown. Roughly 6-6 1/2 hour total trip. Visits from Santa & Mrs. Claus, their elves, and carols from a nice quartet. The train ride was the highlight for me. I saw a lady make a fool of herself on yesterday's trip. She apparently thought she had booked the Polar Express, and was complaining about the lack of a recitation, hot chocolate, and cookies. She seemingly didn't know which train she was on. Nice trip, worth the money 👍
We offer Christmas trips complete with Santa and his elves. Visit our website for more information. TCRY.Org
Wine on the rails is on 2/20/2020. Www.wineontherails.com/tickets there is a wine on the rails on 11/9/2019 but it is sold out.
If the information isn't on their website, I would recommend calling them. When I was there, it was a weekday, so I didn't get to ride. Hope it works out for you.
They start in Nashville and go east to Lebanon, Watertown, and Cookeville
The 2 children are very small. The 2 of them and 1 adult would easily fit on 1 bench in coach seating. Is that possible?
We're an excursion train totally within TN
R u referring to the stripe
Hmm not sure
There r several close b uh get on line
The best closest hotel we stayed at was the comfort suites airport. It is about 6 mile's from the Tennessee Central railway museum, and the price was reasonable. The address is 2521 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville, TN. It is to the east of the museum so you stay out of major traffic. It's A4 Star hotel.
Not sure call them
Yes all knid of cab to use
You really didn't miss much of anything. Hopefully you weren't going on the wine tour. That was such a waste of time and money!!
Depends on the adventure you select. I would advise to go to their website
