Hard to reach during colder months but definitely cool experience. Parts are collapsed unfortunately. Definitely bring headlamps and good shoes, can get quite slippery

The cave still had ice despite a record breaking hot summer. It’s a .25 mile long lava tube where pioneers used to get ice from in summers. If you’re going to go all the way in, you’ll need some very bright flashlights and good shoes. It is absolutely dark just a hundred feet in. I turned around since all I had was my cellphone light. You need a NW Pass for parking.

A fun place to visit if you're in the area. Not very big, but the ice makes it unique.

Don't take your dogs, they disturb the wildlife and other visitors and the urination and feces will become a problem.

Walking and being able to move over large rocks is required. There are stairs down into the main cave and it is slippery, wet and the rocks are large. If the person can to walk it would be advised to avoid this place. If they Dan walk and climb over rocks, I would definetly encourage you to visit.
