The lady behind the counter demanded that her cute dog met ours... bad thing. My dog is only 6.4 lbs. but they didn't get along immeiately and it just shouldn't have been done. I don't like my dog to be traumatized for any reason. Not a good idea.

I paid $180 for one night. Two adults two dogs. I booked a king room, and paid for a king room, but got two full beds. There is zero place to walk a dog, yet advertised pet friendly. All night all I heard was the room above us banging around and the rooms beside us. Old building with old walls and no sound proofing. The street is loud, the outside light ( for safety I’m sure ) was blinding in the room even with the curtains closed. No vending machines. I have stayed a lot of places for work and I am very disappointed in the Blue Ridge Inn. Especially with all I had heard about it. I was in town on pleasure visiting my daughter and this will for sure be the first and last time I stay here. If I could do zero stars I would. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

We have been from coast to coast, and for being a small hotel this place has better customer service than any place we’ve ever been, by FAR! They literally left home when we had an issue with the tv to fix it, offered free cancelation on a day if we needed, cleaned up our room to spotless perfection and even perfectly placed my wife’s Bear on the bed with love and care. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. And if there is EVER a time I’m going to revisit sylva, there is no doubt where we will be staying. Great job blue ridge inn, keep up the fantastic work and integrity! 10/10

My mom stayed here a few days ago while assisting me with moving back to my university apartment. The room was disgusting. No hot water, tried to get it fixed and the owner's son came and ran the water for around ten minutes & said that it was fine. It was not fine. Hot water should turn on fairly quickly, not having to wait ten minutes for it to FINALLY get warm. They overcharged my mom severely and jipped her out of a day's stay. My mom received attitude from the front desk clerk when she questioned about the overcharging. Would never recommend someone to stay here despite the convenient location and the ability to have a pet stay which few hotels in the area offer.
