I HIGHLY do not recommend living here. Thankfully I only had to live here for 6 months, but that was still far too long. They state that there are renovations, but the renovations are terrible. There is glue all over the floor and on the new appliances. The cupboards should have been replaced as well with this "renovation." The toilet was not secured and I almost fell off the first time I tried to use it. They recently got new management and I hoped things would get better, but now I can't get my $400 security deposit back because I moved in under the old management. I contacted them and they stated that the new management has possession of my security deposit. I am very upset. I left the apartment looking better than when I moved in due to the fact that there was dirt all over the floors and in the kitchen. I have never had such a bad experience. The photos were taken the day I moved in. Edit: I’ve tried contacting multiple people to see when I should expect my security deposit. The last reply was a couple months ago with “it takes time to process” This is just sad… Finally got a reply back and they are keeping my deposit and making me pay $500 because I didn’t give a full 60 day notice when I was moving out. Considering I cleaned the place and left it better than when I moved in and was out before my lease was up you would think they would be more considerate of the situation. Don’t have any hope with the new management. I’m disgusted.

I am currently waiting on the background check for the apartment. They are very informative when it comes to calling in with any questions. They are quick to respond and they try to keep you in the know. I do recommend this apartment when it comes to current interactions.

We love living at Ashbrook ! It is a lovely, quiet place to live with a great community. Not only are the living areas beautiful, but the grounds are so well kept and clean. I love living in such a dog friendly place-- my pup gives it 2 paws up!

It is a rare occurrence to come across an organization that excels at human skills: honesty, compassion, empathy, and communication. But, however rare it might be, that is precisely what I experienced when I embarked on my search for an apartment after accepting a job in Gastonia, North Carolina. The prospect of relocating to a part of North Carolina that was unfamiliar was, in a word, scary. Amy ushered me through every aspect of the search process with kindness, empathy and understanding. From touring the property to answering my myriad questions to navigating the application process to finalizing the deal, Amy could be counted on for her expertise of all things at Ashbrook Village, her patience as she likely answered the same series of questions that just about any prospective client asks, to her empathetic approach (she knows what people are going through as they try to find their next home) and ultimately, her sincerity. While Amy might be a community manager by day, you can tell that she is simply a good-hearted person who wants to please–always. This aspect of Amys professional demeanor is easily demonstrated by the events of today. You see, I’m still toggling between Charlotte and Gastonia and as such, I have home furnishings ordered and en route to my new home in Gastonia, while I’m still tying up loose ends in Charlotte. More specifically, my mattress from Nectar was scheduled to be delivered today. I asked Amy if she could put the mattress in my apartment once delivered–she of course said yes. So, it was disheartening to find out that although Nectar said my mattress was delivered, Amy found nothing at my doorstep but a few other deliveries. The stress is compounded when you are miles away and can do nothing to solve it. I let Amy know and, although it was now well after business hours, Amy didn’t hesitate to travel back to Ashbrook on her own time. Finding my mattress was her mission. Soon thereafter, Amy texted to let me know the mattress was found and was already in my apartment, safe and sound. Amy went above and beyond here to provide me with peace of mind. If you are looking for an apartment in the Gastonia area of NC, your first stop should be Ashbrook Village Apartments. Compassionate, empathetic, professional and honest. Amy, the community manager will be there ready to make your day.
